so i found a decent replica of the 2016 Ghostbusters jumpsuit on Amazon for about $25, not counting shipping... it doesn’t include a name tag or logo patch, and it closes with velcro strips, not a zipper. i really, really, REALLY want to just go ahead and buy it, get the logo patch, a name tag customized to have my last name, then get a bunch of other cool patches to add to it, maybe a cool-looking belt to go with it and maybe some goggles. because if i’d ever cosplay as a Ghostbuster, i would just be me as if i was one. i could never stay in character.
that being said, when would i ever show off this cosplay? there is a small-ish convention that happens for 2 days every May and 1 day in October, both in the same location, just a short drive from where i live. and it’s really cheap to get in. they’re pretty much the only cons i would ever be able to attend.
should i just get the jumpsuit and patches sometime this summer, so i’ll be prepared for that one glorious day in October, and possibly for two days the following May?
