THE FIRST DAY could not have been off to a worse start. guidance had messed up his schedule, he couldn’t figure out the system to which the room numbers went so he kept arriving to class late and worst of all he had made a complete fool of himself in front of the cute chick in his math class. fortunately, it was lunchtime and he could unwind from the stress with whatever gunk the school was serving. or maybe the protein bar he was saving for practice.
avoiding the table where his teammates were, campbell found a nice hidden away spot on the opposite side of the cafeteria. sitting alone couldn’t be worse than sitting with a bunch of assholes. although the looks he was getting from all the neighboring tables wasn’t at all reassuring. maybe it wasn’t the best idea after all, and maybe his luck hasn’t turned.
