Mint was listening to Sim Beyonce and did not notice the maniacal speech of his criminal wife. Upon realizing that she was speaking to him, Mint simply bit his lip and nodded along, wondering what he was agreeing to. It was probably unimportant. Probably. He would pretend to have forgotten later.

After a first day of skilling and haphazard street fights, Mint and Cookie Dough settled down into their cheap bed for another night together. Newcrest was beginning to feel like home.
