Hi! Updates every 1-2 weeks were never sustainable, but I forced myself to do it because I really cared about my readers. I still do, but the loud minority has made it extremely difficult to want to sacrifice so much out of my personal life and continue those sleepless nights just to reinforce the entitlement. I hate that the rest of my followers have to wait because a few people ruined it for everyone, but I'm unfortunately not immune to toxicity. That being said, I also don't think a month is even a long time for an update for the majority of writers.
I don't expect to change any of your minds, but please treat fanfic authors as real people. Before guilt-tripping or demanding things, ask yourself if you could deliver all that you expect from them.

Hi! Thank you so much for checking up on me. I apologize for the lack of updates, I was really sick and went through some personal issues I had to deal with afterwards. I know you don't care didn't ask, but I wanted to put it out there just in case you were worried that anything else that is very much in the realm of possibility could've happened to me (such as being hospitalized, having a death in the family, falling into depression, having writer's block, and/or just dying in general).
As per your previous request, the dates were already removed from the Schedule and only the release order remains. This order reflects the remaining chapters of the stories and will not change whether or not the page exists, so if the lack of dates don't help with your disappointment, the next step would be to simply stop looking at the schedule~
That being said, Tumblr is a great community filled with many talented writers, ranging from those who update every once in a blue moon to those who update every week or less. I happen to be somewhere in the middle of that, and the Schedule page was meant to help communicate it in real-ish time. Unfortunately, I don't think my other readers will like it very much if I took your advice and just stopped writing completely—however, if you decide that waiting a few weeks for updates to free content is too much of a burden and no longer wish to read anything I write, you have my full support to unfollow! There are actually even some buttons that I can press on my side to help even further, so if you'd like my assistance, please message me since I can't do it now to anon asks <3
I rarely hook to any story this much but I was really really looking forward to the next part of 'The chairman's daughter' since the last update but you kept delaying it, now the excitement is gone, I'm kinda disappointed 😞
I would like to give a suggestion, You should remove the schedule cuz it just making it more worse for your followers like me, it was better without knowing when will the update hit us like rock outta nowhere but since you attached that schedule page I started looking forward to the given date but since you kept changing it, it started disappointing me more.

Hi! I'm sorry, I've been really sick so it's hard to stay on track. I apologize for making you feel disappointed. The Schedule page was always supposed to be about estimated dates and transparency, not a promise or a strict schedule, but if this is something readers feel strongly about, I can certainly remove it. Another option is for me to change the dates to be much further apart so that there are less delays and lower expectations.
I know that you are not upset that updates take a long time, and more so the fact that the release dates keep changing, so I apologize for making you anticipate things only to delay it again. If the majority of readers choose to keep the Schedule page, I hope that you would be able to just avoid looking at it to prevent yourself from being disappointed.
That being said, I understand that you all are frustrated from waiting, but I hope that you can see it from a writer's perspective as well on why things end up being delayed. I wish there was a button I could press to release an update, but in general, it takes at least 40 hours to finish a chapter—sometimes much longer. I only have about 3-4 hours out of a day to myself, and I've been using them to solely write, every single day, to hit at least 2k to 3k words, even when I'm sick or exhausted. WPS and TCD chapters are all upward of 15k words nowadays; it takes a very long time to write that many words and then edit them, and even proofreading alone is about 3 hours on something of that length. There was a time where I rushed my updates and readers felt like things weren't complete and I had to go back and extend some scenes, which I would prefer to avoid doing again.
I know that it's easy to feel disappointed when you really enjoy and look forward to something, but please remember that even though it takes you about 30 minutes to read a fic, it took someone else weeks to write it. For example, it may be frustrating to see "WPS delayed another 3 days", but it was also 23k words which is literally 4 times longer than the chapters in the first half, so maybe you could see it as four updates instead of a single one.
I hope that in moments when you feel annoyed, you'll remember that writers are normal people just like you and are doing this out of love for the hobby and their readers. Many of us have full-time jobs, our own complicated lives with many obligations to tend to, but we are all trying our very best, I promise. I've been extremely burned out for a while, but I'm pushing through because I'm so close to the end for WPS, so I want to finish on a good note. Plus, I know if that if I go on a hiatus I probably won't come back for another 5 years again. :')

you said that you struggled in writing oneshots because you found it hard to do a proper ending in one chapter, so i'm curious: when you plan for your long series like mss and wps, do you plan the plot in detail all the way to the end, or do you just have a rough idea and refine it as you write? i remember you were saying the JJJ easter egg was what kickstarted the whole bidding system, so did that idea happen even before you started writing wps?

For plotting, I generally have an overall idea of how the story is going to go, but it definitely gets refined as the story goes! MSS was more of a 'gardener' style where the plot evolved as the characters grew, but WPS had very strict 'architect' plotting (because it was following their discography), but also because the plot was more important in this story! So I did plan it prettyyy precisely, but a lot of things changed along the way as well! You're right that the JJJ easter egg inspired the entire auction betting system (not the auction itself)! And in the original plot line, there actually was no card system, it was just a massive sex party with billionaires. The idea of an Ace-King system came much later! And in the original system, there were only three Aces per House, until that poll happened, and the black collar became the High Ace collar for Spades, etc. So yes, basically, lotssss of things changed along the way XD

I try to make my prose as subtle(?) as possible so that the characters tell the story instead, so I guess it comes off as being easy to read as a result and more movie-like instead of book-like? I'm not sure either! Sometimes I read other people's work and I think "oh wow that's beautiful prose" and feel like mine is elementary in comparison, but every author has a different style and that's the magical thing about writing :) No two writers end up with the same story ever~ But thank you so much for reading and your kind words <3
I'm not positive how many of my tumblr followers are new vs not new, but I'm glad new readers can still enjoy WPS without knowing the full universe! :) MSS is not a pre-requisite for WPS, but it certainly helps to be familiar with the world beforehand. Hi! I actually dreaded writing 2nd person for a long time because I hated reading it and I hated having to insert myself! But then I wrote TCD and realized it was so much fun to be able to narrate outside the voice of the MC! I also like that it fits present tense more and makes things feel more immersive and in the moment! But my style of choice will still be 1st person past tense. I find it to be more natural and more emotional for me as both a writer and a reader. Immersion is fun, but I like hearing other people tell their stories more than experiencing it myself! Sure, I don't get to be snarky in my prose, but I'd reserve it for more serious stories like WPS and MSS. :) I definitely lean towards 2nd person POV nowadays because I feel like tumblr prefers that, but I don't think it can make me cry while writing like how WPS can, for example.

I'm definitely a sprint writer because I put in a tooon of time and energy to update at this velocity, so I certainly don't think it's sustainable. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to slow down eventually and stay longer, but if not, I hope that I release enough stories in the time that I'm still able to before I burn out!

Hi! I feel really attached to both stories, but I think WPS is the more serious of the two, connects to a universe that I spent years writing, and has a much more complex plot, so I lean towards WPS in terms of which one I "like" more. I think TCD is certainly more fun to write and a lot easier, but WPS feels more representative of me as an author (if that makes any sense)? The only issue is that it's extremely draining emotionally for me to write, so I need a lot of breaks in between chapters to recharge.
I think TCD is more light-hearted and kind of for 'everyone' while WPS is a lot more niche and not everyone's cup of tea, hence the popularity difference. I also think the two different POVs (1st person vs 2nd person) affect how both stories are told, and therefore one feels more emotional. (IMO, if WPS was written in 2nd person I don't think it would have as much emotional weight, and likewise, if TCD was written in 1st person, it wouldn't be as chaotic and fun).
Aw don't worry, we'll have lots of Karina smluff soon enough to make up for it. :)

Hiii! Thank you for giving it a shot! The story is written non-linearly in the first half and the timelines converge towards the end! They're not too far from each other, but it was a style I wanted to try in order to jump right into the action at the beginning! I know it's a little confusing, but I think after you realize there's only three different timelines (one flashback of when they were children, one "present" timeline, and one "slightly ahead" timeline, it gets easier to follow!

The Clubs scene probably felt weaker than the others because of the build up! Club rounds have been really intense so far so the finale suffers from "power creep" I think? It's probably quite hard to top the IU Miyeon round in terms of intensity, even though it was a 6 person gangbang it probably felt vanilla XD

Hi! The releases will always be based on PST time! I can't predict the time they come out (I can barely predict the dates, hence why they keep getting delayed...) but it'll usually be around 10-11pm PST of that day!

Once I'm done... I think I'll take a short break to reflect on life and maybe play with some one-shots before starting another series! (I'm only gonna do one at a time from now on...it's sooo hard to juggle two)
