also the implications of the specific clip i found are crazy. jonah had no clue what covid was and apparently spent all of quarantine in space. that liveshow was the first time jonah and emily met in character. what the hell

I went to MST3k LIVE tonight and I had a wonderful time!! The movie was delightfully bad, and the riffing was just plain delightful! I’m so glad I got this opportunity 💚

It's now official, Netflix is not continuing the new MST3K show. ☹️ But, there will still be the live tours and the coffee table book is finally shipped out as well.

- Joel played the guitar at the beginning and sang the theme song :’)

- Joel getting the bad net when trying to catch the butterfly
- When Tom caught the butterfly and started screaming and making unnatural noises and you could tell the actors weren’t expecting that

- a person in the audience asked if they were gonna continue the Netflix show and Joel said “we have 100% rotten tomatoes how can you top that”
- Crow said as president he will decide who lives and who dies
- THE PEOPLE SELLING MERCH WERE WEARING THE SPACE UNIFORMS!!!
- I think they said it was their 50th city this year and it was Joel’s last tour :’)

Crow: Its been 30 years, Tom. My character has to grow
Gift art from the Halloween MST3K Live show--This one was sent home with Joel.
Because this show and its characters are Joel’s creation, he’s more or less Space Dad (or “Papa Bear” as Jonah referred to him during the 30th Anniversary shows--”Who are they gonna root for? Papa Bear or....Not Mike?”). I just felt like something sweet was necessary with his original robot brood, plus one of the most important things from MST history that I feel like we should all carry with us--That cross stitch in the back says “The right people will understand” and it’s so true.
Sketched in pencil, inked with Pigma Micron pens, colored with Copic, Spectrum Noir, and Artist’s Loft markers on Bristol board, cut to a hex that’s about 7 inches across at each of the widest points.
Yeah, I didn’t make framing easy this time. Sorry, guys. >_<
