May 16th and 17th, find Golden Raven Studio in the Union circle drive off the Abbot entrance, booth #60.
Dear MSU friends
Especially those in BA or MA programs: I will give you a coupon for free ice cream in exchange for 5 minutes of your time. I am launching a campus-wide event and need some quick, simple input from students. I will be at the Union or the International Center this afternoon, maybe both, and I can work around your schedules. Thanks!
What a busy two days it has been! I'm exhausted already. I had four classes today and that just about wore me out. I only have one tomorrow though so I'm grateful for that. I thought I would share this lovely picture with you all. I was waiting for the bus outside of the Union and the park just looked so gorgeous. It's probably one of the few places on campus with clean white snow and perfectly shoveled sidewalks. The sidewalk in front of the cars of my building is covered in ice and little snow but the rest are clean. Personally, I don't think it's fair but I already said something about it so we will see. Snow can be a pain in the butt; there is just something gorgeous about seeing the sun bounce off of it though.

Students laying the foundation of the MSU Union, 1923.
Because Michigan State lacked the funding at the time to start construction on the building, they required all male students to help dig and lay the foundation. Female students sang to them and served them coffee and donuts. For more on this, check out my very first feature on this blog from way back in May - the MSU Union.
Also, check out Grand River in the background! Pretty remarkable.
There's nothing better than a beautiful fall day on Michigan State's campus
