okay so i’m going to try and keep this short. story starts in COUPEVILLE, WASHINGTON where her father, ERIC JUNG, is born and raised. he’s an outcast cause he’s a lil quirky but he befriends another little boy who is also socially excluded. turns out this little boy is a wizard yayyyyy and this absolutely fascinating to her father. basically this is what starts his obsession with magic.
fast forwards a few years and he marries a nice lady named MICHELLE. she’s a lot more quiet and reserved than he is, but they think they’re the perfect pair. she’s a mortician and he’s a writer for the newspaper, but also runs a blog where he rants and raves about magic. a mortician and the local weirdo who is obsessed with magic? needless to say, they quickly became notorious in their town.
after years of being unable to conceive, the couple adopt a baby girl who they name JUNG BARAM, but she just goes by BLAKE. as their only child, she is the apple of their eye. they think she is so smart, so sweet, so special, and come to find out they’re not exactly wrong.
she’s SIX when she presents magical abilities. she gets inspired by the fairy godmother from cinderella and suddenly all her clothes start flying around her room as she sings bibbidi bobbidi boo!
her mother is shook but her father is like 👀👀👀👀
now that they know she’s a wizard, her father is so obsessed with her. like to an unhealthy level. she’s not allowed to play with other children without supervision, can’t go out anywhere with her dad without him trying to get her to do something crazy. blake is now the topic of his blog continuously, which earns her teasing from her classmates.
now she hates the magic that once made her feel special because she’s getting bullied for it and her dad is an obsessed weirdo. her parents also divorce when she’s EIGHT YEARS OLD because her mother can’t handle the person her father has become.
her mother easily wins custody of blake and the two move to SEATTLE to start over. while her mother did want a life free of bullying and judgmental eyes, she also brought them to seattle in hopes of finding someone who could understand blake. her mother didn’t exactly hate her daughter, she still loved her, but she feared what she could not control.
the search brought them to @msuastrid ‘s family where blake would grow to love and appreciate herself a bit more. while her faith hadn’t been completely restored, the family taught her to value her magic and this was a huge inspiration to her.
enrolls in ILVERMORNY when it’s about that time and she thrives there. she loved exploring her capabilities and found her inspiration to be a wizarding lawyer here ( idk maybe saw some important lawyer woman and she got Inspired ).

now comes her entrance to MOKSEONG in 2019. chose the school to get away and hopefully start a successful life. she wants to find a sense of belonging here and just basically live her best life tbh

his family is rich and well known in the magic world, but his grandparents were heavily involved with politics and ended up messing with dark arts ( allegedly for everyone but confirmed by yours truly ) and bribery to keep their position. and its something EVERYONE knows bc it got out, but they barely even lost anything ( except respect from people ) bc they knew too much and they couldn't prove they were really involved with dark arts.
minjuns parents were never in that, they actually worked with potions making, so he grew up loving potions and everything about it, but they invented/perfected a potion that works like a morphine ( ??? ) it takes pain away but keeps the person awake, but it doesn't cause any addiction or side effects, and it became a big deal bc it was very affordable and could be purchased everywhere
but the potion started being used on a lot of crimes and part of the fault fell on them, some even accusing them of creating the potion for those purposes ( bc of their relations to the grandparents, they didn't have a lot of credibility ).
the potion is still being sold, but its not as sold as it was in the start and it's also more regulated.
growing up minjun was never treated very nicely because of all that, so he became very recluse, it's pretty hard for him to open up and make friends, because he feels like he's always being watched and everyone is just waiting for him to slip up, so hes always just about to snap bc hes honestly just trying to be a good person
hes doesn't have the best relationship with his family but still won't break off from them bc he doesnt know how to survive outside the safety zone they kind of created for him money wise and also from something actually bad happening to him
he’s mostly a good and very sad boy, doesn’t want to get in trouble and just straight up vibe.
minjun is very passionate about flowers and world politics ( it’ll show when he decides to talk about his major, i promise ) mostly, but he just really loves learning about everything.

ok ok so she was born and raised in england, where her parents grew up. (i’ll try and keep her family history brief here but,,uknow) her father was born in korea but their family moved to england when he was young for his dad’s job
so both of her parents attended #hogwarts together (and so did annie and her two brothers when they grew up)

but yes got away with a lot tbh kind of spoilt and babied (which in a condescending way she hates but she did secretly like being spoilt lmao). but yes generally got shielded from "scary” things and treated like a baby and hates being treated like that so tries to overcompensate by being impulsive/confrontational (will probably shock u with being intense all of a sudden when u aren’t expecting it). in general the reason for her being naive and inexperienced is cause she gets treated this way (+ she knows this lol)

miyu spent a small amount of her younger years in gyeon-ju, south korea living with her stepfather and mother in a apartment.
her father passed when she was five due to an disease that weakened his immune system ( it was fast working and he managed to only fight it for less than a year before he eventually passed )
her mother met miyu’s stepfather ( who is a wizard ) through a mutual friend a few years later, and they clicked right away and then the rest was history
her stepfather was a wealthy business man who was making a big name for himself slowly but surely, and was invited to many big dinners
and as much as miyu hated those things, it was crucial for her stepfather’s beautiful family to be there... so she was forced into a itchy dress, curls in her hair, and her feet shoved into shoes that were the most retched things in the whole world for miyu
she stayed glued to her mother’s legs for the majority of the time until she was dragged towards the host and his family for formal introductions
and that’s when she met haeun, a sweet looking girl who brightly smiled in miyu’s direction when she only managed to peak around the fabric of her mother’s dress. and when she was asked if she wanted to go play with haeun she wanted to refuse, but something about her kind face and excited eyes made her feebly nod and with some encouraging words from her mother she grasped onto haeun’s awaiting hand and they ran off giggling away ( not even two second later, miyu was asking haeun if they could sneak some snacks off of the refreshments table )
it didn’t take long for miyu and haeun to become attached at the hip, if haeun wasn’t at miyu’s it was the other way around, and if you couldn’t find them at either house they were more than likely playing in the small fort they built in the forest near their homes
any memory miyu made through the ages 7-12, haeun was apart of it
and even tho miyu was all smiles when she was with haeun, when they were apart, miyu’s world was slowly starting to crumble for the second time in her short life. coming home to her stepfather drunkenly yelling in her mother’s face for whatever reason he saw fit for that night
one night when miyu came home from the forest, she walked in right at the same moment he was pointing his wand at her mother who was knocked to the ground. some gurgled curse was being spit down at her and miyu didn’t even think twice before she was moving to block her mother. in the same moment sparks ignited on her thigh, and she screamed when flames quickly engulfed her leg. her mother quickly came to her sense and patted out the small fire but it wasn’t fast enough, raw skin was left behind and her stepfather only hissed that she shouldn’t jump in the way if she didn’t want to get hurt...
that was the last straw for her mother, so during the night when her stepfather was passed out in bed, miyu and her mother packed up as much as they could carry and left behind their life in south korea and search for somewhere else to settle down far far away from the evil man..
her mother got into contact with someone in the ministry of magic, and they were then taken under the wings of the magical witness protection program ( this is the point where na hyejin, then became na miyu ) they were brought over seas to the rainy country of London, England.
miyu didn’t get to settle in her home with her mother, because within a few months living in england she was then accepted and set to attend the great hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry. placed into the gryffindor house while her mother was recruited onto the Magical Law Enforcement team as an auror ( she did so to find and arrest her deranged stepfather )
she wrote letter to haeun when she could, never explaining where she was ( she wasn’t allowed to, not without the risk of endangering herself and her mother’s lives ) but she always said she was okay and happy, and that she hoped that haeun was too... and she promised that she hasn’t forgotten her.
then fast forward 7 years, and she then transferred to mokseong!!
but when she was home on vacation during her years in hogwarts, so was her mother, and her mother made it clear that it was important to always keep your brain and body well worked even during vacation
so miyu attended dance classes, was taught self defense by her mother and other amazing women that befriended them, and miyu was diligent in her studies of cracking codes and deciphering words and messages of all kinds. “ you have your father’s big brain, “ her mother always said. and miyu always took pride in that compliment.
miyu is good at looking at any problem, all of the working parts and the details, and somehow coming up with a solution
she also had a love for potions, especially making things go BOOM ( that’s her fire sign energy coming out lol )
does exceptionally well in archery and has won many competitions in that category
but when she isn’t doing all of that, she’s making up stories. some with grand plots and wicked characters , and some short, sweet and simple

hello everyone ! the name's kay, and it's pretty good to be back in a krp again after an indefinite hiatus. my son, noah, is itching to have some connections so if y'all have any plots you can see him in, please feel free to like this post or throw them my way and we can work something out. he’s a curses major, astronomy minor and current president of the astrology club ! i'm currently working on writing plots of my own so bear with me while i try to get everything organized. beneath all this hogwash is a few quick facts about noah so it might be in your interest to give them a glance. tw drugs / drug abuse !
noah was raised in portland, oregon. he is the only biological son to a single mother who adopted three other children years after he was born, making him the oldest as well. growing up in his household was certainly not ideal - his mother is a drug addict and since noah was exposed to this lifestyle at a young age, it was rather inevitable that he would be tied into drugs as well. you can probably catch him buying weed and all other drugs in between on and off campus.
he's a halfblood: meaning the magic wizardry that runs through his veins was inherited by his father and that side of the family. even though he knows about this by listening to half-sober rants from his mother and discovering forgotten journals written by his father, it's still a mystery of how that came to be (and how his parents met in the first place). apart from his studies, he's hoping to find some answers. with that said, you can imagine he was both shocked and excited to receive a letter for ilvermorny when he was younger.
noah considers himself to be charming and naturally extroverted - whether that's the influence of the drugs he depends on is up to the eyes of the beholder. while he's not a troublemaker, per se, he does tend to live on his own terms and only 'behaves' for the sake of not getting kicked out of MSU. when he's not in class or maintaining the astrology club as a president should, noah is probably getting up to his own mischief with or without other people.
his major is curses - which you can imagine is "worst kind of dark magic." this doesn't necessarily make noah an evil person, though some may associate it as such along with his deceptive personality. long story short, he's fascinated with the aspects of dark charms; how it can inflict suffering on an individual and how it can change the tides of various situations in an instant if it's done right. most of that fascination was the result of his upbringing, and flourished even more after his encounter with a boggart.
noah is also minoring in astronomy because he holds a great love for celestial objects, especially after experiencing a majestic LSD trip and swears on his life that he astral projected to the andromeda galaxy. additionally, he believes that all living things were, and are, born from stars; so why not study where we originated more closely? because of this, he may have a strong connection with professor aurora song. above all else, he takes astrology very seriously which is most likely why he's the president of the club.
A few micro-facts includes:
apart from his major, minor and things for the astrology club, noah hardly studies and is often found asleep with his face in a book in the library.
he's a tattoo fiend. he currently has 28 tattoos in general, in various shapes and sizes. the number is only going to increase until his 'canvas has been filled.'
his eye sight is... actually pretty bad but he refuses to wear glasses or contacts.
yes, he has been to rehab. no, don't ask him about it. (his longest sober streak was 39 days.)
