✘ CLOSED STARTER — @msuamelie​

The air was starting to get a bit chilly now that the sun had set. Although she had thought it to be somewhat of an inconvenience earlier in the day, Malia was now thankful at her mother’s insistence that she bring a jacket. Also fortunately for her, there was lots of room around the bonfire to sit near, keeping her extra warm. The atmosphere felt practically perfect, all she needed now was a nice cup of hot chocolate. 

As she contemplated trying to summon one using accio, Malia noticed that someone had taken a seat near her. With a light shake of her head, she brought her head out of the clouds to see if she could make out who it was, considering how dark it had gotten. 

“Oh, Ahreum. Hello!” She greeted the other with a slight bow of her head and smiled. During one of the first cheer practices, Malia had kept to herself, staying mostly in the back of the crowd to observe quietly. She planned to do this until she’d manage to get a better feel for the sport and team, but when approached by the senior, Malia couldn’t help but feel a bit bashful. But she also felt grateful for the assistance she received every so often. “How has the weekend been for you?”

     he’s not sure if he could ever classify himself as a romantic of any sort, but jaewon would definitely like to think that he’s a good boyfriend. though, most of his relationships don’t tend to last very long and he’s not sure what the problem is. 

     there’s a debate about whether if it’s just because he hasn’t found the one yet or something along those lines. but he knows he’s not a bad boyfriend because the reasons that are usually cited as to why his relationships end are never about how he treated his significant other. usually, it’s just something about how he’s not committed enough or he seems to have his mind on other things and not the relationship. 

     cannot confirm nor deny, honestly. 

     but he’s Doing His Best every time he gets into a new relationship and this one is nothing different. he always tries his hardest when the relationship is Fresh and New. 

     his relationship with @msuamelie is Not Fresh and New but he still wants to treat her well. he’s not sure where this relationship might go in the future, but when he had been wandering around he had passed blissful botanics and stepped inside curiously. the staff had been more than accommodating, and they had helped him pick out the perfect one—a nice sunflower bouquet. he honestly didn’t care for flower meanings, and hadn’t bothered asking but maybe it could be interpreted to mean something about the sun. 

     (he also can’t really say that amelie is the sun to him, but maybe she could be the moon. maybe. or something. he’s always been terrible at waxing poetic.) 

     he makes up for it though. or at least? he tries. 

     after sending a message to his girlfriend, jaewon waits outside of her dorm for her to come down, hiding the flowers behind his back. when she appears, he doesn’t bother hiding the grin on his lips, making sure the bouquet was fully hidden behind his back. “hey stranger,” he greets, leaning down to kiss her on the cheek. “long time no see.” it’s probably only been a day or so, but that doesn’t change the cheeky tone that he says it in.
