in the geumseong common room with @msuyeonwoo.
the geumseong reserve quidditch team has yet to be filled up this semester, and as co-captain, nate intends to fix that. the reserve players will eventually (hopefully) become the main players, after all, and seeing as he’ll be graduating after this year, he does feel some slightly responsible for finding someone to fill his shoes. because, okay, he doesn’t mean to brag, but he is the player with the most experience on the team, and so, his replacement should be pretty good. which means training should have started already, meaning — he’s in a hurry.
he’s gotten into the habit of scanning the common room every time he passes by, looking for anyone that could be athletic. anyone tall, or muscular, or whatever — you get the picture. there has been a few already that had fit the image, but upon being approached, none had seemed particularly interested in trying out. so, is he getting desperate? perhaps a little bit so.
but then, on his way back from one of his classes, he spots someone. he’s tall — about as tall as himself, actually, and looks decently fit? maybe? well, he at least seems like he’ll do. nate doesn’t think he’s seen him around much before, so he must be a freshman. perfect. if he’s actually good, he could stay on the team for years.
nate is quick to approach the boy, wasting no time in making his proposal. “hi. you ever play quidditch? because, you know, there’s free spaces on the reserve team, and you look like you’d be perfect for it.”
