MT CHARA WITH PROMPT "ROSES ARE RED VIOLETS ARE BLUE IF YOU DONT SHUT UP I WILL SHOOT YOU"
The random mafia oc is nameless… I doubt they’ll ever appear again I just needed someone to annoy Chara for this prompt to work lol
MT CharaIt was just Chara’s luck that they had to get through an extremely dangerous mission while working with the most obnoxious partner ever. Not only did he seem to have no regard for the concept of silence, but he was clumsy and easily distracted. How distracted, one might ask? Well…“Hey, you know what would be fun? Let’s make up poems!” he suggested cheerfully, his tone several octaves higher than Chara would have liked. It was a miracle they hadn’t already been caught, honestly.“Let’s not,” Chara muttered quietly, hoping he would take the hint. Of course, he didn’t- he hadn’t taken any other hints they’d tried dropping, either.“Oh, come on! This is really tense! Which isn’t good for anyone. Making up poems would make us less tense.”“You know what would really make me less tense? If you would stop talking so loudly.” Chara hissed.“Alright, I’ll start,” he said, missing the point completely. Chara would have facepalmed if they weren’t so focused on picking a lock. The guy then proceeded to spew out the most sickeningly cute poem Chara had ever had the displeasure of hearing.“How did you even get into the mafia in the first place?” Chara muttered, more to themselves than actually asking him.“That’s actually a funny story!” he said. “Wanna hear it?”“No, I don’t,” Chara replied, immediately regretting voicing the thought at all.Not at all to their surprise, he began telling the tale anyway. Rather dramatically at that.“Can this wait until after we survive this potentially deadly mission?” Chara asked, not particularly hopefully.“You’re such a killjoy,” he said.“No, I just happen to have a healthy sense of self-preservation instincts,” retorted Chara. Finally, they heard a click signifying their success at picking the lock, and breathed a sigh of relief. “Alright, now this is important. While we’re in there, we have to be as quiet as possible. Which means do not talk unless you absolutely have to, got it?”“Of course! But first, I didn’t even get to the best part of the story-”“Don’t worry about it, I wasn’t actually listening,” Chara replied quietly, silently pushing the door open, millimeters at a time. The last thing they needed now was for the door to squeak.“Then I’ll start over from the beginning!”“What part of ‘do not talk’ is so difficult for you to grasp?” Chara muttered under their breath.“All of it! Oh, hey, you never actually made a poem yourself! I bet that would improve your mood!”Chara ignored him, continuing to push the door open.“Come on, make a poem!”Chara still said nothing.“Please?”“Can’t you see I’m trying to concentrate?” Chara said so quietly they weren’t even sure he would be able to hear it. Then again, maybe that was a good thing, since any time they spoke, he seemed to take it as an opportunity to talk even more. But alas, he did indeed hear it. “Come on, just try it! Just one poem?”Chara grit their teeth. They knew if he spoke while they were inside, they would be discovered within minutes. And the door was almost open wide enough for them to sneak inside.Chara needed to come up with something, fast.“Pleeeeeeeaaaaaaassssseeeee?” he asked, lengthening the word obnoxiously.“Fine. Roses are red, violets are blue, if you don’t shut up, I will shoot you.” Chara muttered. To their amazement, he actually didn’t say anything as they finished opening the door and entered silently. When he followed a few seconds later, he was so quiet they actually glanced back to make sure he had followed.Had he actually been capable of silence this entire time?!? Chara sighed inwardly; now wasn’t the time to think about that, they should just be glad he was being quiet now.
