Best of 2020 TV Shows #25: Infinity Train (CN/HBO MAX)

An original miniseries concept about a girl trapped on a never ending train got expanded and into more books concerning the other inhabitants and potential future riders.

The mirror clone of tulip Johnson begins to wonder what her purpose is now that she’s free from her host. When she crosses paths with and inept jock named Jesse and an odd deer known as Alan Dracula both began to wonder and try to figure out how to free themselves from a never ending loop.

The shift to HBO Max also opens up the story of the inhabitants of a car that Jesse and MT happen to run across. While they are part of cultists who want to do as the title suggests and make their own number climb through the roof.

Both emotional and surprisingly darker than Tulips journey of coming to grips with her parents split, Both MT and the apex bring more to the table of this seemingly never ending ride.

Which is unfortunate due to its likely open ended conclusion without a fourth book looking likely.

But at least this was really great.
