While I recognize that Perry the Parasite is a far from reliable source of information, I do like to think he was telling the truth when he confirmed the 3 things that occupy Alan Dracula’s waking thoughts are Lake, Jesse, and of course, grass.

There’s just so many instances where it’s clear AD cares for them both very much. He’s the one who, intentionally or not, brought them together in the first place. He turns into pillows in the toad car and lets Jesse and Lake rest against him. He puts his head on Lake’s lap when they’re upset. He lets Jesse take silly photos with him. The fact that he’s immediately by Jesse in the passenger farm when he’s separated from Lake. He even embraces the name Alan Dracula based on the fact the jar of pickles he turns into is labeled with his name.

Also the fact that he literally blasts off in the last episode indicates that he could’ve gone home anytime? Like there was no reason for him to stay with Jesse & Lake other than he just wanted to. They’re his friends, he just likes being around them.

Underrated aspect of the Infinity Train Book 2 protags dynamic is how often they have one brain cell between them and sometimes its Alan Dracula who has the brain cell
