Concerning Bandcamp

I was going to release Magical Boy with a music video a little bit later this month (editing a video takes a lot of time), but considering certain recent events, I’m instead going to release the track tomorrow. The entire website is donating their profits to the Transgender Law Center.

I cannot speak as someone who is currently anything other than cis, but I will say that a sizable portion of the American population is experiencing systematic discrimination. I’m not an expert in any way, but it doesn’t take a genius to understand that the current US president is an idiot and that his actions have actual consequences.

As per usual, I will be releasing the album for Pay What You Want... but I do hope that people will actually give a little bit more to the cause. As a broke college student, I can’t really promise anything, but I will at the very least attempt to donate whatever money I personally make on this specific album towards the Transgender Law Center.

In the meantime, here’s some albums on Bandcamp I actually love. Check them out tomorrow if you can. (Please note that I don’t know any of these people personally)

Naked Lunch by Mt. Mercy

Lo-fi hip hop has been getting pretty popular lately. This album makes me cry, and I’m not quite sure why.

And of course here’s my own obligatory Bandcamp link. I make heavily chopped mishmashy mixed mashups with samples from pop and classical music mixed with the soundtracks from various movies, cartoons, and video games. My newest mix won’t officially be up till tomorrow, but expect Tom and Jerry, George Romero, Samurai Jack, and Toby Fox mixed with the likes of Beck, Miley Cyrus, and Queen.
