Drabble Challenge 2025 Day 22 Prompt: Tenacity

“Come on, Rian, help me with this!” Dan-bi demanded.

Rian sighed.  “Why are you so insistent on this, babe?  The room’s fine as it is, the baby won’t care.”

“Our baby is going to have the best room in Sandrock, where she can grow and become the best citizen Sandrock has ever seen.  Now help me!”

Through her tenacity and force of will, with Rian’s reluctant help, Dan-bi meticulously directed every move, until, finally, the baby’s room was complete. 

“It’s perfect!” she sighed admiringly.

“Great, let’s get dinner,” Rian enthused, heading outside.

Dan-bi growled softly at her frustrating husband’s back.

i think that if by some random happenstance Dan-bi had to take on the role of Minister for a while, her sermons would be five minutes long and then she'd send everyone over to a table where she had a bunch of saplings, some shovels, and some watering cans, and make them all take one and go plant a tree
