A Guide on How to create a Minecraft TMNT Iteration/AU!
Hello my Minecrafters! :D
So this is technically going to be a guide on not only this Mythos but also on how to create a AU because this concept works for both, this is the Minecraft TMNT. Now I bet you're wondering isn't Minecraft a completely different franchise? Well franchises have merged before, most notably Lego, there's an entire Lego Jurassic World TV show, so why couldn't there be an iteration like a movie, comic, or show that's in the style of Minecraft going off all the same logic? Maybe a game like Minecraft story mode but with Ninja Turtles, so I think this is still a valid idea. I think the first iteration under this Mythos should only go off of Minecraft before Notch sold it and there was like a year and a half Gap with no updates, and then iterations after the first can go off of modern-day Minecraft, and every time it gets a new update they can either add it into an already existing iteration of this Minecraft TMNT, or create a new iteration of Minecraft TMNT every time they update the game and add something new. You can also make an iteration based on popular and famous Minecraft mods like Tekkit, Hexxit, or Yogbox if normal Minecraft is to vanilla for you, you can also insert the Turtles into the lore of SMPs, like the Dream SMP, but there's so many more besides that one. And either you can keep it looking blocky and square or you can make it more realistic like real life meaning you're going to have to draw creepy real life versions of the Creepers and the Endermen.
Now before I hop into the actual mythology, let me explain how to make a Minecraft AU of an already existing iteration, take for example 2012, to make a 2012 Minecraft AU either recreate the story that happened throughout 2012 but in the world of Minecraft so the turtles have to deal with zombies and other Minecraft Mobs while dealing with the Kraang and The Foot. Or just take the 2012 Turtles and put them into the world of Minecraft with the exact same personalities and looks that they had in the show (Gap tooth Don, freckled Mikey, ECT), but just place them in a different feeling world.
With that being said let us Dive Right In.
DISCLAIMER! Disclaimer! Even though I made this, these are not strict rules, just suggestions, do with that as you will.
Minecraft TMNT
A guide on how to create a Minecraft TMNT iteration.
This mythos has a lot of fantasy and sci-fi, with a little bit of down to earth, but only 00.1% superhero. The fantasy part comes from the logic of Minecraft how there's a lot of things that happen there that won't happen in real life, like exploding Moss monsters, giant spiders, zombies, ECT. And all the magic spells that exist in the game. And the Sci-Fi part comes in from the dimension hopping from The Nether to The End, and any other dimension that exists thanks to mods. You can also have scrapped Concepts that were supposed to be in the game but didn't get implemented in, like the Sky Dimension, or any miscellaneous mob or item or biome that didn't get added in. Now either it takes place during the time of the ancient builders and Society is still around and the Turtles have to hide. Or it's after the ancient Builders do what they did to destroy their society so the Turtles are basically living a normal Minecraft day of just trying to survive like Steve and Alex, but they protect the Villagers from monsters and other mobs like the Illagers just like they did to protect humans. Or it could be after the humans reform their society (like in an SMP) and now the Turtles don't have to hide since Society has started over and they have a chance to integrate into it. Or it could be a world where either only Steve and Alex are left or there are no humans left and the Turtles are left to survive on their own to the day they die. It all depends on the iteration. What exactly cause the downfall of the ancient Builder Society can depend on the iteration and what lore you're going off of, if you're going off of the actual official lore from the actual game then it was either the Wither or the skulk & The Warden, if you're going off of a mod, or an SMP like the Dream SMP then it could be Dream that caused the downfall. If you want to lean more towards TMNT lore then it could be The Kraang or The Triceratons or the Yokai. It could have been Herobrine, or could have been something else entirely that you can just make up from scratch, it's up to you.
Design Elements and aspects. You can make them either square and blocky like Minecraft, or keep them looking like any other TMNT iteration. Their skin must always be Green. They can have anywhere between three fingers or four fingers, and two to three to four toes. You can either make them normal Minecraft Steve height of 6 ft 2 in, or or you can make them as small as a baby zombie. Don't make them look too hulking. They can either have gear like most mythologies have, or they can have gear and Minecraft armor, or you can just give them Minecraft armor. Powers, either just give them the default mutant powers of slightly stronger than the average human, more agile, and faster healing. Or you can give them all the same Minecraft Powers as Steve and Alex, insane super strength, the ability to carry so much stuff on your person, run really fast, ect. Mask colors, the first iteration they should have Blue Purple Red and Orange, then after that they should have Blue Purple Red and Yellow. If you're just taking General Minecraft logic and putting it in the real world then you can make them any Turtle species, but if you're strictly following Minecraft, Vanilla Minecraft then just make them Sea Turtles, but if you're going off Minecraft mods then I guess any Turtles, but probably just Generic Turtles.
Origins: Either an accident or intentional. It could be from Oozemutagen or Mutagenooze or Mutagen or Ooze just like any other TMNT, or here's another idea. Matpat theorizes that the Enderman and the Piglin were created when humans and pigs went into The End and The Nether and over time evolved into new species, but I speculate it may have been magical transformation or even mutation, so going off of the mutation angle what if the ancient Builders discovered Dimension X the same way they discover The Nether and The End, and one of them brought their pet Turtles to the dimension X and being in that Dimension mutated them into humanoid form, and similar to the Piglins they became an entire race, and the Turtles are the last four of that race. Or maybe it was just those four that got mutated and they never became a race. What if the Kraang discovered the ancient Builders world and fought to take it over but the ancient Builders won and using the Kraang's technology they figured out how to hop Dimensions which led to them discovering The Nether and The End and the Skulk dimension. Or they could have already been Dimension hopping and found Dimension X which led the Kraang to try and take over the Builder's world. Or maybe someone brought their pet Turtles into The Nether or into The End and that's how they mutated into humanoid form, but if that's the case how did the Turtles get out of The End? So probably not that one maybe just The Nether. Or maybe after the ancient Builder race mostly died off witches went into Dimension X and collected samples from the dimension to use in there evil potions and they accidentally made Mutagen and experimented on animals like Turtles and Rats to see what it would do. But these are all just suggestions you could have your iteration look and feel just like a normal TMNT iteration, but just with Zombies, and Creepers, and Etc running about.
The Foot Clan: Either they are an organized crime syndicate, or they were an organized crime syndicate. Or they are a neutral group of ninjas or they were a neutral group of ninjas. Or they want to take over the world or they did want to take over the world. Basically some iterations may only have the Foot Clan exist in the past because most of human society is already all gone. Or the Foot Clan still exists and some of the last surviving humans exist in it. Or the Foot Clan has been technically brought back by the Illagers basically cargo culting what The Foot did. Their goals can vary from iteration to iteration.
Splinter: Hamato Yoshi is optional. And your iteration could start out with Splinter already being dead dying before the iteration started either from natural causes or from the same thing that killed the ancient builders, The Skulk and The Warden, or The Wither. He's either a Mutant Rat, or a magically transformed Rat, or maybe an Alien Rat from a dimension where humanoid Rats rule instead of Humans. Maybe the ancient Builders went to war with these Rat people and Splinter is or was the last of his kind. How he learned Ninjutsu can vary from iteration to iteration as long as it's not a freaking book, oh wait a minute just like my Sea Turtles mythos they have a backup fighting style to make up for their bad ninja skills if they learn from a book because they know PVP, so I guess them learning from a book is okay if you make Splinter a Villager I guess he can learn it from a book because if it's after the ancient Builders are gone there's no Humans left to teach Ninjutsu. He can either start out as a Human or a normal Rat or a Villager. And he must have personal ties to Shredder. If you make Splinter a Villager and The Shredder an Illager then you can say he was turned into a Rat by Shredder, like matpat's theory that the ravenger is a Villager mutated or magically transformed into a beast with experiments by The Illagers. Or he was mutated or magically transformed by a Witch, you can have Shredder be a Witch.
How to write this Splinter, if he's not dead then a wise old man who knows how to give wisdom, and seems to have the same level of skill and knowledge as a expert veteran Minecraft player, knowing all about PVP and all the tricks to surviving, he basically taught the Turtles how to play Minecraft and be really good at it.
Leonardo: Leo is an INTJ personality type. Leo is strategic and is naturally able to predict how the future might play out. INTJs are often running mental simulations of many different scenarios. Leo can stay focused for long periods which is how he has achieved so much in his life. In some iterations he is the leader simply because like the Mirage Leo it just naturally fell into his lap over time, or they don't have a leader and they are four equals. He's very honorable. He is the most skilled at Ninjutsu, although he can sometimes be a bit overconfident, he also makes jokes like Rise Leo. He's basically a mix of normal Leo, Rise Leo, and Dream. His weapon of choice the Sword, in most iterations he starts out with a Stone Sword and may upgrade to a Diamond or Netherite Sword by the end or stick to the Stone Sword. He may have had normal Katana or Ninjaken before the ancient Builders destroyed the world and they got broken and he doesn't know the crafting recipe to make new ones, you could have him get Katana or Ninjaken by the end of your iteration, or just stick to the normal Minecraft Sword. Or in your iteration he could have always just had the Minecraft sword and never Katana or Ninjaken. Character development suggestions, have him learn to take a bit more responsibility and be a little less overconfident.
Donatello: Donnie is the peaceful one who doesn't like to get into a whole lot of Confrontation with his brothers or with anything, he prefers to stay home and work on the house, or the garden, or the farm, rather than go mining, but because of his craving for Science and Technology he will Brave his way through the caves for some redstone. He is a master expert at redstone. He's also the family librarian and the family Cleric, even though Cleric is more magic than science he's the only one smart enough to do it and those potions come in handy, besides it's kind of similar to chemistry so he'll take it. He's quiet, peaceful, friendly, gentle, and can be kind of a coward at times. He's the most sensible smart one who loves Tech and is constantly seeking out knowledge. His weapon is a stick, not even a Bo Staff just a stick. You could have had him had a Bo Staff before the ancient builders destroyed the world but it got broke and because Splinter is passed away and he was the only one who knew the crafting recipe Donnie is stuck with a stick, you could have him figure out the recipe and get a Bo Staff by the end or you could say he never had a Bo Staff in your iteration and he just always had a stick, another possibility is because he's the Redstone expert by the end of your iteration he figures out a way to make a Tech stick using Redstone and copper, or maybe even a Tech Bo Staff, or a Bow & Arrow, or a Tech Bow & Arrow, or a Trident, or a Tech Trident, but that's optional. He is the least skilled at Ninjutsu and not very good at PVP. Character development suggestions, have him grow a backbone and become a little bit better of a fighter.
Raphael: Raph is the tank of the family, he also picks on his brothers the same way Alex picks on Steve so he's kind of a playful douche, but not an unlikable douche, a Charming douche. He can be a troll sometimes but only sometimes unlike Mikey. He's got the biggest muscles and usually goes in to battle without armor because he thinks he doesn't need it. He's very Reckless he's the only one to mine at night. Often times Leo has to save Raph when he gets himself in danger. He cares about protecting people or in this case Villagers and doing the right thing, but he's Reckless and runs in without a plan. And despite picking on his brothers he cares, he's a big closeted softy. Anger problem and sarcastic are optional in this Mythos. He is the second most skilled in Ninjutsu and the most skilled at PVP. He's also the blacksmith of the family. His weapon is an Axe, in most iterations he has an Iron Axe but can get it upgraded to Diamond or Netherite by the end, or just stick with the Iron one. In some iterations you can say he had Sai before the builders destroyed the world, and they got broken, and because Master Splinter is deceased they don't know how to craft new ones. Or you could say he never had them in your iteration and he always just had an Axe. Character development suggestions, have him learn to be less Reckless.
Michelangelo: He is the most open light-hearted and friendly Turtle. He's also very immature and naive. He's also a goofball and loves to pull pranks on his brothers, he's basically the stereotypical Minecraft troll, taking people's items, moving people's items around, placing TNT traps nearby, you know. But whenever he's not being a troll he's usually helping Donnie on the farm because he likes to collect wheat so he can make bread and make pizza, he's the only person he knows who still remembers the recipe for pizza. He is the third most skilled at Ninjutsu and the second most skilled at PVP. You could have the reason why he's so good at PVP is because he used to play video games before the society collapsed. His weapon is a Hoe, basically just a Kama. In most iterations he starts out with a Wooden Hoe, but can get it upgraded to Diamond or Netherite later on, or just stick to the Wooden one. You can say he had one or two pairs of Nunchucks before the ancient Builders destroyed everything and because he doesn't know the crafting recipes they can't make more, but he might learn it by the end and then get a pair or two. Or you could say he never had Nunchucks in your iteration and he always had a Hoe. Character development suggestions, have him learn to be less of a troll, and learn to take things more seriously.
April O'Neil and Casey Jones: These two are optional. But if you do decide to add them in here some suggestions. Like Splinter they could have died before the start of the iteration from the same disaster that killed most of the ancient builders, or they could be some of the last surviving people left, and either they already knew the Turtles from the get-go like Rise, or they meet them as The Story Goes On. You could make April the daughter of Steve and Alex and get rid of her last name and just call her April. Like 2012 you could make her only half Human, meaning the other half could be Enderman, or Villager, or Witch, or something else that's close to Human, or just make her half Kraang again. You could make Casey Jones a Villager. But no matter what you do you have to keep their core character traits intact, April is sassy and Casey is a good hearted person who believes in doing the right thing.
Steve and Alex: Either they don't exist in your iteration, or they do exist and like in game cannon they are the last two surviving Humans but they never meet the Turtles and just exist in the world with them but they never interact with each other, or they are the only two humans left and they do interact with the turtles from time to time but only reoccurring allies not Mainstays, or they do become Mainstays and basically become the Casey and April of your iteration. They can be April's father and mother, or you can just have all four of them exist and be unrelated to each other, and be the last four surviving Humans with Alex and Steve having the superpowers that they have in game while Casey And April are just normal Humans. Or you can give all four of them and the Turtles and Splinter (if he's alive) the super Minecraft powers. Or you could have Steve and Alex exist but not be the last Humans left maybe there's a few other survivors. Either way Alex picks on Steve so she gets along with Raph because of that.
But all of these human allies are optional, you could have a world/iteration where there are absolutely no normal Humans or SuperHumans like Steve and Alex left and the Turtles are the only ones there.
The Shredder: Oroku Saki is optional. You could have The Shredder already be dead due to the same thing that caused the ancient Builder race to die out and have your iteration not have a main antagonist and it's just about the turtles living their day-to-day lives. Or you could have Shredder be one of the few surviving humans. Or the Shredder could be an Illager trying to resurrect The Fallen Foot Clan after Saki/whoever died. Or they could be a Witch. Or The Shredder could be a Zombie, Husk, or Drowned, or a Skeleton or a Stray. Possibly an Enderman Shredder. Or a Ghost. Whatever his goals are can depend on the iteration and who you decide to make Shredder, if you still make him Saki either still alive or some kind of Undead then all he wants is his personal Vendetta settled because the world is over there's nothing to rule over so getting personal revenge is all he has. Or if your iteration takes place before the end of the world then he's going to try to rule over it, and maybe he's partially responsible for the things that cause the end of the world. Either way his backstory should be tied and personal to Splinter in order to give the story some weight, maybe possibly tied to Steve and Alex too, if you have them in your iteration. Basically The Shredder is optional, but he can't have never existed, he had to have existed in the world at one point. Maybe he survived the end of the world because he has the same superpowers as Steve and Alex. Maybe The Foot Clan and him are attacking the village to steal their resources and the Turtles are defending against it. Maybe he's teamed up with the Illagers. You can do anything with him. You can have more then one Shredder if you want.
Herobrine: Herobrine is an INTJ personality type. Uniquely, he is both an idealist and a realist, which is a rare combination. With a driven and focused nature, Herobrine is dedicated to achieving his goals. Deliberate and measured, he carefully thinks through plans before taking action. INTJs have a special ability to foresee what might happen in the future. However, he can be cynical about the world. Herobrine is also very cunning and wise, and he is very skilled in making Dangerous traps for anyone unfortunate enough to be his enemy. But he is optional because like I said you could have an iteration where there's no antagonist and it's just about the Turtles surviving. And if you have the iteration start out after the ancient builders destroy everything then you can say Shredder is already dead before the iteration started meaning only Herobrine will be the antagonist and Shredder will never show up, or if you have Shredder still be around then he can either show up before or after Herobrine, or at the same time as Herobrine, and even team up with him maybe. As for how Herobrine came to be can depend on the iteration, maybe he's just some malevolent God-like being, maybe he started out as a normal human and then became all powerful after the extinction/near extinction of the ancient builders, maybe he's the one who caused the event that nearly wiped out the ancient builders, Maybe he was created by the Illagers, maybe when the ancient builders society still existed he was a video game character that gained anomalist abilities like an SCP and after the events that ended the ancient builder society he was set free from his video game now stuck in the real world with video game powers, Maybe He's Steve's brother, or if you got something else then go for it. What his exact goals are can depend on the Iteration, maybe in some iterations he has no goal and he's just a troll that likes to troll people. Or if Society hasn't fallen yet in your iteration, or Society is starting to get rebuilt then maybe he wants to be the supreme ruler. You can give him either a Diamond Sword or a Netherite Sword, If you have a thing for nostalgia and you don't like to change something that's iconic then stick with the Diamond Sword, but just make it as powerful as a Netherite Sword to keep his intimidation Factor even though it still looks like a Diamond Sword.
The Warden, The Wither, and The Ender Dragon can also be Main antagonists if you can figure out a way to write them into the story.
Minecraft TMNT mythos.
Their skin must be Green.
They must all be the same species, and you can make them any species of turtle you want. Or you can just make them Sea Turtles because that's what actually exists in Minecraft.
Takes place somewhere in the world of Minecraft.
Either they are four equals with no leader, or Leonardo is the leader.
They either wear Blue, Purple, Red, and Orange. Or Blue, Purple, Red, and Yellow.
Leo: Blue Don: Purple Raph: Red Mike: Yellow
Weapons
Leo: One Sword Don: One Stick Raph: One Axe Mike: One Hoe
Ages
They can be anywhere between 13 and 19.
Leo: oldest or second oldest Raph: second oldest or oldest Don: second youngest or youngest Mike: youngest or second youngest
Depending on the iteration.
Strongest to weakest (muscle wise)
Raph Leo Mike Don
Or
Raph Leo Don Mike
depending on the iteration.
Strongest to weakest (ninjutsu skill-wise)
Leo Raph Mike Don
Or
Leo Raph Don Mike
depending on the iteration.
Strongest to weakest (PVP wise)
Raph Mike Leo Don
PVP stands for player versus player, it's basically just punching each other and seeing who will die first or will give up first.
And that's the Minecraft TMNT mythos. Now most of these suggestions are going off of the actual Minecraft lore that exists within the game and other contents like Minecraft books, the same lore that Matpat the game theorist has been trying to solve for a few years now, and I've mostly been going off of his theories, but if you want to create your own lore instead of going off of what actually exists within Minecraft then you can. Some of the mods that I listed above probably have their own separate lore from the main game, and you can go off those or make up your own Minecraft Lore from scratch and just throw TMNT into it. I just thought of this but someone should make a Minecraft TMNT SMP! :O that's a great idea! Either way that's going to do it for now. Next time I might make a post explaining the difference between an iteration and an AU and the different types of AUs, but until then have a turtlely awesome day! ;) TURTLE POWER!!!! :D

I don't think anything about how the Foot Clan functions in my TMNT iteration makes any logical sense but also I can do what I want.
