A number of Honda Beat mid engined Kei Class sportscars. Unlike the Suzuki Cappuccino and Mazda Autozam AZ1 / Suzuki Cara twins which all used a Suzuki F6A DOHC 12V turbo 3 cylinder the Honda's 656cc Inline 3 cylinder was naturally aspirated with Honda's MTREC(Multi Throttle Responsive Engine Control) system which used individual throttle bodies for each cylinder. Both motors made the 64PS(47kW) maximum allowed under the Kei class rules but the power characteristics were completely different. The turbo motors made max power at 6500rpm.
