Once upon a time… I used to romanticize. Used to be somebody; never mind. Don’t miss it that much now. I think it’s sinking in, days that I wonder where I’ve been in picture perfect porcelain, but I won’t lose a pound. You say I would make a better liar? Never face the music when it’s dire? I breathe disaster, ever after; don’t pull away from me now. Don’t you move; can’t you stay where you are, just for now? I could be your perfect disaster, you could be my ever after. You could be my ever after, after all! I could be your perfect disaster, you could be my ever after. btw. if you even care.
Listening to Marianas Trench equal parts jamming along and dumbfounded listening to Josh's vocals like what the heck am I supposed to do with that though
Face the music when it’s dire.
Y'know what, I see a lot about Marianas Trench on your blog so I'm gonna ask for your top five favourite Marianas Trench songs and I'll give them a listen later tonight
this is Such a difficult request aksdjghfkjgh but I'll do my best to narrow down!
Wildfire (from Astoria) - this one continuously makes me emotional. It's loosely inspired by King of Pain by The Police and I can't get over it.
A Normal Life (from Haven) - it's so hard to recommend any of the album closers because they're all SO GOOD, but made even better when you listen to the whole album in order. A Normal Life is the opener from Haven, and signifies the Ordinary World stage of the Hero's Journey. perhaps it will tempt you to listen to the full album?
Down to You (from Haven) - if you listen to one other song off Haven let it be this, when i first heard it i put it on loop for 2 weeks straight and it still sounds as good as it did the first time. aggressive string section. very dramatic
Glimmer (from Phantoms) - another emotional one. i really like the lyrics in this one and there's agony and whatnot.
Desperate Measures (from Ever After) - in Canada this is a radio staple and we've all heard it so many times, but it's genuinely really good.
otherwise i'd have to say of their albums overall... Fix Me if you want something rougher, grungier, and about mental illness. Masterpiece Theatre if you want something more pop-punk with theatrical moments. Ever After if you like weird love stories and toxic romance. Astoria if you like the 80s and emotional whiplash. Phantoms if you like high notes and a twist ending in your album. Haven if you want to feel uplifted and like listening to a movie score.
I hope you enjoy!!!!
A Main Title Screen for a possible Ever After game (Very much thinking about making it, just have to finish my current project/game)
pride,,, again :]
