hello Mike ive made my return from sleep sorry if any of this is confusing i literally just woke up like less than ten minutes ago
so if you dont mind me asking what does ritual look like for you i don't mean just like big showy ritual i mean like something you do so routinely it becomes almost automatic but is something you do to show your dedication to the fears (or even more specifically just the vast if youd like as i assume theres hundreds of different things one could theoretically do for each fear)
id also like to know if theres like a personal religious code of conduct/set of morals you follow you might have touched on these things before i only scrolled a short way last night/this morning so if youve already talked about it by all means tell me to just go find it myself
Good morning, Gerry, I hope you slept well and got some rest.
As far as I understood, you ask of trivial, everyday things I do to honour my Titan. With time, what I came to is an exercise of seeing, and, especially, looking for my Divine in everything. Since almost all Fears are in one way or another show themselves in nature and world all around us, I go look for them, and, with a mindset like that, I do find them in a lot of things. I am still learning to do it, because of personal life and radical change of my path, but is goes well. I'm saying this to emphasize that a lot of my everyday devotion and those rituals, that are now a routine, came from that thinking. It's a prayer in the morning and wishing them a good night, it's offering them part of my morning tea and parts of my meals, it's wearing devotional jewellery and pieces of clothing, that make me feel the most Mike, it's going outside and being under the sky and watching Vast related videos, it's noticing something, that reminds me of them and saying their name under the nose, as a tiny prayer. I do all of those to "main" Gods I devoted to, as well as other Fears, the Vast in getting most of those, of course. If you are looking for something with more effort, but still trivial, then meditation, journaling and drawing for/about the Vast also comes here, as well as my experience of being Mike.
As for your second question, I don't really have any religious codes I follow in their common understanding. PCP, unless comes from the source where there are religious codes, doesn't really have any. The Fears definitely don't have the set of dogmatic rules they follow, as well as my King and my Lady. The closest thing I can think of – set of virtues of Church of Eilistraee, that Eilistraee herself teaches to those, that decided to follow her. Therefore, I don't have any religious codes, I do have a lot of personal ones. I assume, you ask about codes about life, and not about my spiritual practice. I follow buddhist and absurdist philosophies, as well as punk ideologies. While they are my "life codes", they are also deeply connected to my faith as well. I have big respect for buddhist ideologies, the absurdism is, in my experience, the philosophy of the Vast, and punk ideologies, in my experience, what Eilistraee is teaching. There are some nuances, like, I really enjoy the original teachings of Jesus, that are about love and kindness, I am intrigued by hedonism, I love the teachings of hospitality and co-existing with magical and nature in my local and ancestral cultures, there are sets of my personal rules that I take from media, horror and folklore. There is really a lot of niche things, that build my faith the way it is.
I hope I answered your questions. :]
Thank you so much for the ask. I hope to see you soon!
