Mettaton would be the biggest matchmaker for his puppet buddy like almost advertising him to anybody he likes (coughcoughSwatchcoughcough) because in his eyes WHO would ignore that cute fella ?

ohmygod, i do love the idea of mettaton being a little matchmaker but since he knows spamton is only casually dating, he often swoops in and makes the dating game a little harder for his good pal.

life's tough when youre besties with a big name celebrity. but if spamton is serious about someone, MTT will be in full support of it! (coughcoughSwatchcoughcough)

FINALLY, someone has asked (jk, jk, i would have shared anyways)

so, this au is actually a UT/DR combined universe where lightners and darkners coexist. i got inspiration from a reddit post about how darkners have "empty" souls and lightners have "full" souls. in the past, there was an epidemic of monsters and humans alike stealing souls to feel "complete".

that doesn't really happen anymore, in fact, the lightners and darkners have been living in peace for quite some time, but spamton did once attempt to steal a lightner's soul in his early years. MTT soon after came into spamton's life and took him under his wing. spamton's almost forgotten his desire to steal a lightner's soul until something begins rocking the peace between lightners and darkners.

How much does Mettaton know about about Spamton's past (assuming it's mostly canon compliant)? Does he know about the whole rags to riches to rags, falling out with the addisons, homeless stint, etc., or is he just vaguely aware he's had a rough time? Because I could just imagine Mettaton planning a publicity stunt in downtown Cyber City and wondering why his buddy suddenly looks like he's dying inside.

this story sways a little from canon so spamton's history is more like --> out of luck salesman while working with the Addisons --> leaves the Addisons when hes sold on the idea that getting a Lightner's soul help him achieve his goals --> leaves before he can take a Lightner's soul --> lives on the streets barely making anything to survive --> gets picked up by Mettaton who takes him under his wing

mettaton and him have a heart to heart (soul to soul?) at some point and spamton fesses up about his past, to which mettaton says he kind of understands 'cause he envies the souls of humans and how strong they are compared to monsters.

for mettaspam AU: have you ever thought what mettaton would think when he sees Spamton in his EX design that you made?

i may draw this another day but i totally imagine they get their arms tangled within one another.

(i cracked a joke on twitter saying Spam Ex and MTT Ex try to make a secret handshake but they keep getting their arms tangled)
