“Zebra” is the self-titled debut album by this American hard rock band, released in 1983, eight years after they were founded. The album features all original material, with the exception of "Slow Down" (a Larry Williams tune best remembered for a 1964 cover version by the Beatles) injected at mid-song with much of the second stanza of Carl Perkins' "Blue Suede Shoes", altered at its end. My only album by this group. On Atlantic Records - 80054-1. It features two hits which received national airplay: "Who's Behind The Door?" and "Tell Me What You Want". On the strength of both singles the album became one of Atlantic's fastest-selling debut albums ever and peaked at #29, attaining a level of commercial success the band was unable to repeat on subsequent releases. #rockandroll #zebraband #theeighties #mtvdays https://www.instagram.com/p/CNh3T-errNa/?igshid=62vlvf91fvxo
Signs of Life is the fourth studio album by Billy Squier. It was co-produced by Meat Loaf's famed songwriter Jim Steinman, replacing Reinhold Mack, who had produced Squier's previous two hit records. Described as a personification of early 80's rock music, Squier's most successful period ranges from 1981 to 1984, during which he scored five Top 10 Mainstream Rock hits (two of which were number ones), two Top 20 singles and three consecutive platinum selling albums, along with cyclic MTV rotation and radio airplay.
