Immediately thought of this one after posting the other one.

It’s not unusual, in the Etrian Odyssey series, for a given monster type to have a couple of names it switches between depending on the games. This is a perfectly reasonable thing, not everything calls things the same way.

And then there’s the Stalker/Reaping Shade/Omnihunter/Mortal Hunter/Indignant Mantis, who simply cannot keep a consistent name between games, even in remakes and remakes of sequels where the name had not changed between installments.

(Bonus points to the Muckdile/Abyssal Death/Creeping Death/Dinogator, who maintains a very similar amount of titles, but actually manages to keep consistency between the relevant versions of Etrian Odyssey and EO2.)
