What does Vigil and Mercury do? (They’re sorta like disciples to Jophiel if I’m remembering right correct me if I’m wrong!!!) do they have a specific job? Do they fight?
(ASKING THIS SOLELY BECAUSE I noticed jophiel is one of ur few characters who are armored 🥹🥹…)
Vigil and Mercury are in two separate classes, so their general jobs are different. Vigil is a Principality, their job is to govern/care for larger groups of people (<- vague description on purpose loll), although in modern times this job seems to be less needed. Mercury is a Virtue, his job is, essentially, to watch over space/the universe and make sure it is in proper order. This could also apply to nature on Earth, but not typically to human people. Vigil and Mercury would likely want to switch jobs. Vigil does not care much for people, but Mercury does! (<-although Mercury DOES quite like space. it is dear to him, but so are humans)
^^^ now..... if you've read my post on angel hierarchies..... you may be wondering,, How is Vigil a mentor to Mercury if they're in a lower class than him? the answer.... age!.. mostly!! since mercury is fairly young (for an angel), he does really have as much social power as vigil. ANYWAY!
they DO fight. kind of. it is very one-sided! Vigil sends some misdirected aggression towards Mercury, but he only retaliates when put in physical danger.

also youre right! they are essentially disciples of jophiel (although im not sure if thats the best word to describe their relationship to her, it works)
jophiel was specifically drawn in armour because of her higher ranking ☝she doesn't always wear it however :p
