El Viento, ¿No?
Yesterday I was standing at a crosswalk, and an old woman next to me turned and said, "Ay, el viento, ¿no? (Isn't this wind crazy??)". I agreed with her - it was a windy and gloomy day in Buenos Aires. She then asked if she could hold my arm as we crossed the street. And so we did: porteña y extranjera, arm in arm. I didn't say much for fear of giving my identity away; I just enjoyed knowing that in that moment, I was not a foreigner.
