i will say, again, that DID misrepresentation in media can be a little exhausting like — the idea that there are pills that will “make you sane” and banish your alters? uh.. not that simple. it doesn’t work like that, but when i was young i thought it did because i saw it in basically every piece of media involving a plural character.

on the other hand, sometimes dealing with an aggressive persecutor is a LOT and i love seeing gorgeously illustrated depictions of it.

i wrote a whole thread pondering my feelings on the overdone DID-mischaracterization trope in the mgpd movie the other day, and i think i came to the conclusion that it didn’t bother me as much as it does in, say, horror movies, because it didn’t feel… especially horrific? idk. comics and comic based movies have this way of making you suspend your disbelief because most of the characters are hyper competent or have powers of some type… but either way i’m not going to rehash that—

it’s just that it seems like the comics are going to go a little more heavy handed on it… and it does :/ begin to bother me when it’s presented i this light, like “you are the Good version and your alter is Morally Bankrupt and Evil”

on the other hand, though, i do want sergey and his horrible evil headmate to bang, which??? i think the fandom seems reasonably behind, which is NICE

also “who told you i’m suffering from it?” plural fucking ICON thank you, you’re right and you SHOULD say it
