This is going to be a weird question, Ace, but do you have some advice for how to run either multiple sideblogs or just several muses at once? Like tips to efficent? Because you handle it really well and you have been doing for quite some time. So I thought, you could help a fellow roleplayer out.
;; Well, I can certainly try my best for you! I’m not sure how well my methods would work for someone else but it’s worth a shot, right?
1) Compartmentalize. What I mean by that is that remember every muse is different and will function and respond differently to your writing process. For example to write Rarity sometimes I turn on a little film noir music to get in the mood. But to write Aria I’ll listen to Angelspit or some symphonic metal. No one way will work for all your muses.
2) Patience with Muses. Accept that not all your muses on your multi-muse blog will be vocal some days. Maybe one day it’ll only be one muse. Or heck, none at all. Maybe another day it’ll be three. Or another day two. Go with the flow of what your Muses tell you. If you force it you’re going to end up Fighting your muses and make the process the opposite of fun and hit writer’s block.
3) Take Breaks- It’s okay to take breaks from writing certain muses. Or even writing on entire blogs. It doesn’t have to be long. Or it can be long. Breaks are normal for writers and part of the creative process.
4) Take Notes- If you wrote particularly well for a Muse that day, maybe take note of what helped you get in the mood that day so you can do it again in the future for that muse. This goes alongside Compartmentalizing.
5) Unique Voices- I do all my muse replies for one Muse in a row so I’m in the mode of their voice. Like I’ll do all my Rarity replies in one go while I have Rarity’s voice in my head. The same for my other characters. For me this works really well.
6) Keep it fun! Above all, remember if it starts to not be fun then it’s best to take a break or maybe try a different thread. Ask your partner if you can do a different thread or drop that thread or maybe move on. If you’re not feeling that muse for that moment, it’s fine. It doesn’t mean you did anything wrong. Maybe it’s just not inspiring you. Don’t overwork yourself and stretch yourself thin! Let the muses guide you.
I really hope this helps!
