The Clouds In Camarillo (song in English&Russian) - Brazzaville ft. Minerva
“Camarillo is the name of a city in the US state of California. Three miles from Camarillo is “Camarillo State Mental Hospital”, which opened to treat diseases like schizophrenia. According to eyewitnesses, during the period from 1936 to 1996 in that facility died a large number of patients because of the experimental treatments . The mother of David Brown -vocalist of the band Brazzaville- spent her last years in that hospital. This song is a poetic translation of one of her letters.
Firstly the song was written by David Brown in english, but due to the admiration that Brazzaville members had for russian culture, they asked the russian musician Mikhail Korneev from “Minerva” to write some russian verses for the song." (source)
