Militant gay orientation enforcement of certain characters.

I don’t mean LGBT+ headcanons. I don’t mean headcanoning a character as gay. I’m explicitly referring to the phenomena I’ve seen in fandoms where a character is pegged as gay who only gets with people of their own cisgender (tho, lbr, this refers to attractive male favs most of the time) and nothing else. Like I’ve said, LGBT+ headcanons are fine and awesome. But this shitty behavior is too often used to break up m/f ships and can be extremely bi-/panphobic to the extreme that shipping a character with people of the opposite gender is seen as goddamn satan, I shit you not. It’s especially shitty when it’s used to break up a pairing with a white male fav paired with a WOC that people suddenly find issue shipping, even if there’s nothing wrong save for their thinly disguised racism. Because that WOC has less chemistry than the hot male villain who abuses this guy, or whatever.

It’s doubly fun when these idiots are really just graduated yaoi fans who never outgrew their fetishism of mlm and gay men and just poorly disguise it. Because girls have cooties and there’s some deep internalized misogyny and homophobia in bed with each other. I’m right and you guys know it. Suck it, fetishizers.  ¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯

Doubly so when militantly gay male character is used to break up a canon/popular het ship. Yes, I am calling out the braindead side of the Founders fandom who uses Mada to try and break up Hashimito, for example. I cannot state enough how much I hate seeing that. Just say everyone’s bi and have a threesome, for fuck’s sake. Because there’s nothing more heterosexual than a love triangle, you dumbasses.

      A tired yawn escapes the faye as she tries not to doze off yet again. While Destiny enjoys relaxing at Twilight Town’s restaurant, eating her little heart out, she knows she must be ready for Kairi to summon at a moments notice. Setting down her tea cup Density spots a old familiar face.

      Ah...Did she ever show her human form to Aqua? The keybladain cannot remember.

      “Aqua? Is that you?”

            now there’s someone with blue hair, huh? twilight town really attracts such strange folks nowadays, not that hayner minds! it makes such nice stories to tell his mom, and adds some pop of color to days that sometimes seem ordinary. 

            where do they even come from anyway? it only leaves him to wonder, and maybe she’ll have some insight for it.

            “‘sup!” his greeting is exuberant, arms crossed right on over his chest. “haven’t seen you around before. you new?” seems like it, just like that weird sora kid or even that kairi. huh.
