Marcel had a smirk tugging the edges of his lips as he watched Bonnie get dressed. He stayed lounged on the bed, his head resting on his hand with his head cocked to one side. Knowing that she was leaving for a vacation to Iceland, a frown momentarily crossed his lips as a though suddenly entered his mind. “Why don’t I come with you?” he offered after the light kiss she planted on his lips. “I have been to Europe before but it has been ages and I am sure you can do with a history lesson,” he offered teasingly.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea.” Bonnie scoffed, pulling up her trousers with a little bounce. “This is more of a trip of self discovery, which means I should go it alone. Besides, you’ve got a kingdom to run, don’t you?” His heart and soul was New Orleans. It was his identity, his truth, and his home. And she.....she wasn’t sure if she had that anymore with Mystic Falls. It used to be a place she wanted to call home all the time, but everything that made it home was gone.
