He’s Creepy and He’s Cooky
After the first wizarding war the Malfoy’s are punished for being followers of Voldemort. Lucius is send to Azkaban, Narcissa isn’t but she has been found unsuited to raise a child and has been restricted to house arrest.
Now however someone has to be found to raise Draco. His godfather is still found to be suspicious despite Dumbledore’s word. On Lucius’ side there is no one else and on the Black side most are in Azkaban and Andromeda is currently unreachable as she and her husband and daughter went in hiding during the war and haven’t been found yet.
When looking through the Black family tree to see who they could turn to they finally stumble upon the fact that a part of the Black family went overseas to America. This branch of the family is contacted (check to find if they aren’t just another family of deatheaters to be) and found suitable to raise young master Malfoy.
So Draco goes to live with his family in America. They changed their names though, while in the official Magic registry they are still known as Black, they go by the name of Addams these days!
Years later Draco and his family decide it would be a good idea to let him go to Hogwarts as a way to feel closer to his parents (he still sees his mum, but is only allowed a yearly visit and won’t be allowed to visit his father until he has reached adulthood).
Be prepared Hogwarts, Draco Addams is coming to shake things up!
