I adjusted the angle of the Hoya flap that connects to the larger ball because I thought the angle of the Tulip spike would make a difference. but now i think that the angle makes less of a difference than I first thought. it’s probably still not possible to do this with the original Hoya unit, but the angle of the back flap is more of a range than needing to be a fixed at an angle that’s some multiple of 30. it might actually be anything up to 30 honestly i’d believe it

The Tulip was, imo, too small and there deserves to be more of the green. The relative sizes also made assembly harrowingly difficult; two Hoya modules were just slipped into the Tulip pockets without sticking their tabs in between the layers, and the last Tulip connection was freakishly difficult. Then again it was only really possible to just slip the hoya modules in because of the specific proportions so that the tulip pocket would like hide what was going on. whatever. just fold this thing from bigger paper please make the tulip bigger
