My favourite movie theatre closed due to Covid like a year or so after initial lockdowns.

Then AMC fucking moved in and they slapped up their trademark red paint and didn’t even bother to try to make the place theirs, they just, made no effort. Concessions stand was less than bare bones, they didn’t take advantage of the layout of the lobby (funny enough, the giant cock from the old theatre was still on the lobby marque and showtimes board)

I didn’t return to that multiplex, I would rather preserve the memories I had of it than soil them with the subpar experience
