i identify as both transmasc and transfem because i resonate with both experiences (all flags and symbols in alt text). i was raised without being taught to conform to gender norms, and i was encouraged to explore gender identity.
people assume i cant identify as transfem because my sex is technically female. however, being more masculine doesnt feel like im leaving a gender behind, and being more feminine doesnt feel like going back to where i started, and vice versa. i identify as transfem because i was given the chance to let my gender identity to sprout in all directions.
i get told constantly that im invading trans spaces, that i should just be nonbinary/genderfluid/etc and that im not really a lesbian/i can just be straight.
why is being gnc so beautiful to you until its something you've never seen before?
