Mungda Song From Total Dhamaal: Reprised Version Of Helen Starred Old Song Is Just Passable With Ajay Devgn And Sonakshi Sinha

By Akshay Kumar, Mungda song from the movie Total Dhamaal has been launched on social media. Sharing the new song, Akshay has captioned it as “When two of your favourites @sonakshisinha and @ajaydevgn come together to recreate your favourite song #Mungda, it is nothing less than #TotalDhamaal! Have a look.”

In the new version of Mungda song, you may able to see Ajay Devgan and Sonakshi Sinha. Classic song from 1978 has been remixed on the occasion which has featured Helen. Pop background has been added to the song which may seem quite similar to the remix from 90s. Here, the song has been sung by Shaan, Jyotica Tangri and Subhro Ganguly. For the re-arranging of song, credit must be given to Gourov-Roshin. Additional lyrics of the song have been written by Kunwar Juneja. Choreography is pretty average and two outfits of Sonakshi Sinha have not helped her at all.

Setting for the song is similar to house party or a club.  It is a brightly lit song with lots of background dancers in it. However, Sonakshi Sinha seems lost throughout the song. Entry of Ajay Devgn within the song has not been good enough to lift the mood. It is simply an average remix that may not touch you at all.

Huge ensemble cast can be seen in the movie Total Dhamaal with the actors like Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit. Arshad Warsi, Ajay Devgn, Jaaved Jaaferi, Riteish Deshmukh,Sanjay Mishra and Johny Lever. Release of the movie will be seen on 22nd February.

The song which has been directed by Kookie Gulati is all set to be launched tomorrow! On being part of the song, Sonkahsi shares, "Its a coincidence that my last performance to an iconic song also happened to be Helen aunties, I was a part of Chin Chin Chu for Happy Phirr Bhag Yayegi and now Mungda! I feel its great that we can re-package these iconic songs and present them to the generations of today! I love being a part of them!"

This is an all out dance number, with spruced up music and lots of choreography, nothing like the original at all. So we stuck to that." Sonakshi will be seen sharing the screen with Ajay Devgn after Son Of Sardaar. On working with the actor again Sonakshi shared, "Super fun! I love to pull his leg about how much he hates dancing and I got to do that a lot here since this was a dance number!"
