46. what time are you the most productive when it comes to writing?

my sweet spot is weirdly between 2 and 5 am. i shouldn’t write at that time, i should sleep, but it’s the quietest part of the day. i can just put my music on and crank things out. most of my writing is done between these times and usually not sober. editing is meant for the day and done sober lmao

47. what story are you most proud of?

pretty eyed, pirate smile! there’s a lot to why i love it so much. edancy brain rot is so real and it was really heavy in august/september when i wrote this. i had fun developing this au and a lot of fun writing it. a lot of fun listening to die for you by the weeknd so much it was my number 1 song on spotify last year. the thing about it is that i developed so much background that never fully made it in the story so i often wonder what it would be like to go back into that universe and expand it. i’m also afraid to reread it bc it’ll take the magic away when i see my problems.

28. do you think the show would have been better or worse if they kept their plans for eleven to die at the end of season 1?

at the end of season one? i think it would be worse. i think ultimately the story of the show is about el and will. not to put on my tin foil hat or my pepe silvia board but i think those two are easily the central characters. and that is without population, it's just the way the first season was shaped. i think fully killing her off in season 1 would have been premature and i couldn't envision the rest of the show without el currently, especially in contrast to season 4. obviously everything would have been written differently but eh. if you take just season 1 by itself it's still very apparent how key el is.

but if you want to know how i feel about the end of s5... well.

32. opinion on kali and her gang?

i have made an edit about how i think the lost sister is an underrated episode. put in the entirely wrong spot as far as episode number goes. it should have been earlier in the season but whatever. (also it wasn't even episode 8 are you kidding me?) so i don't necessarily think the episode or kali & her gang being shoehorned in that season to be stupid and filler or w/e. i actually think it was incredibly important to the development of el's character, especially at an uncertain time in her life because while she was free of the lab and papa, she wasn't free. she was still heavily isolated and she couldn't even see the people she loved, and cared about. she couldn't see her friends. and of course, she wanted family. she wanted comfort. and i think she needed to look elsewhere to realize that she had that love and comfort and that she has the power to get it as well. gave her means to get her halfway happy.

kali and her gang not show related opinion: i think they were fucking amazing. ok i am always fucking down for punks in media. i'm obsessed. that right peak 70s/80s punk is just it does something to me. like y'all know i love eddie and i have a soft spot for metal heads but if they made eddie a punk? i would have died. i would have one hundred percent died. (no i didn't just think about it now) anyway i think that kali's hot, i think mick's hot, i love sunshine, axl's kinda there and that other one that i'm currently forgetting the name of (so sorry sister from finding carter) was unhinged and i loved it. the thing about it is that like they were outcasts, they were freaks, they were people forgotten about and unwanted. and they made a family of it. with respect, with loyalty. that's just what it's all about. and kali i think wanted to genuinely have that with el. she wanted el to feel like she has a family and then her own otherness, which makes her more other than the rest of them, won't be so big. it'd be smaller. because she wouldn't be alone.

personally i am of the mind that kali should come back in s5. i think there were a fair amount of little moments where they mentioned eight. which was kali's number. there is something about how no one else really showcased kali's ability and kali didn't necessarily have everyone else's powers. so i think that would certainly come in handy with defeating vecna. he couldn't counter it. the thing about him against el is that their powers feel identical to me. kali would be something different.

does any of this make sense? probably not but i'm always accepting more questions!
