Hows it going??

I'm sorry, I'm only getting around to this now. Its been a rough few months.

My daughter is doing well. Her surgery went well and its looking promising that the surgery has stopped her seizures. She's still on meds (and probably will be for a couple more months) but I can already see a difference in her and I haven't noticed any seizure activity.

But, I'm one of those people who fall apart after a crisis... I honestly thought I had been dealing with my emotions, but once she was back at school, I had a bit of a breakdown. I'm thinking I'm starting to feel a bit better now, just in time for the stress of Christmas (Yay!) But I'm trying to keep positive.

I hope you are doing well. I'm looking forward to getting into that gladiator au fic of yours.

Ooo a free for all ;) Thanks for asking. Let's see...

Warnings for violence, blood and suggestion of murder.

"I'm sorry!" She clings to his arm, digging in her heels and trying to get him to just stop. She doesn't want this. She doesn't want him to do anything else. Not when there's already blood on his hands. "I'm sorry!" she says again, trying to keep his attention. The longer she holds him there, the longer others have to get out. "It's my fault, right? I should have called. I should have come when you asked."

He turns to face her, smiling indulgently. "Hey, it's okay." He brushes one of the loose strands of her hair back into place. "Shhh. It's not your fault, it's theirs. They're the ones trying to keep us apart. You see that right?"

The others were just trying to protect her because something was wrong with him. Something had gone wrong and now he wasn't himself. He wasn't the good man she knew but something twisted.

"No," she shakes her head. "It's me. I was the one ignoring you."

"I know you never would on your own," he says. "You're so good, sweetheart, trying to protect them. Don't worry. Let me deal with this and then nothing is going to come between us again." He kisses her but his lips are cold against hers and his words send ice down her spine. "Wait here." He moves quickly, locking the door behind him and trapping her in the room.

"No!" she yells as loud as she can, trying to warn someone. "Run! Get out!"

There are screams in the distance behind the door. No one answers her. No one responds.

Watched Apex last night, which was amazing. Probably one of my favourite roles Taron has played. Felicity Jurd, the dialect coach, NEEDS far more recognition than she has because as an Aussie, the accent Taron had was SPOT ON to the bogans in any country pub you’ll visit. If I didn’t know he wasn’t Aussie, I would have thought he is.
