I dont have the motivation yet to write a whole fic so I'm gonna make a short list of ideas and headcanons to help
Zoot sleeps long hours in the night. If left undisturbed, he'll sleep between 10 - 12 hours, but given that that's not healthy and the band knows he actually enjoys being awake for breakfast, one of them will usually wake him up before then. But he's a heavy sleeper so they might have to resort to drastic measures
Floyd loves to take naps or just relax by laying on top of Janice. He's not heavy and she likes the weight and to play with his hair. It's also common for one of them to trap the other in this position for a bit of mischief, and it's a 50/50 chance whoever starts it. Janice might squirm and fight back but Floyd kinda just lays there and takes it, burying his face into her chest (he likes it)
Teeth is the biggest and most feared ler of the group. He's very skilled at tickling, given he has a lot of practice playing the piano, not to mention he has long, stretchy arms. He'll snatch you up quick
People already have a hard time understanding Lips when he talks normally, but when he's babbling incoherently when being tickled, not even his Mayhem family can catch what he's saying, which opens him up to a lot of teasing. "All ya gotta do is tell us to stop and we will!" "What? I didn't quite catch that, can ya speak a little clearer?" This is why when he's truly had enough, he's learned to physically tap out to tell them to stop.
Zoot has the worst memory and Floyd likes to be mean about it and tickle him for information he doesn't have because he forgot it. "What do you mean 'I dunno??' You were there! We told you! I'm startin' to think you're fibbin'." "I'm nohohot! Ihi'm nohohot!"
The band is super close so it's not uncommon for them to mess with each other on stage, and their fans are well aware of this. It's usually Floyd walking around the stage and causing mischief, like digging his fingers under Teeth's arms to mess him up on the piano, then to dart away before his friend can turn and swat at him. Dangerous game, since Teeth is such a vicious ler and WILL hunt him down after their show and Janice will not help him since he started it.
Floyd being mean and trapping Lips by sitting on his legs, then nonstop massaging his fingers into the man's hips, just rubbing in circles while the trumpet player loses his mind
Lips is usually pretty strong, falling just under Animal in strength, but when he's getting tickled he's so helpless and weak it's almost pathetic
On top of that, Lips cannot form a coherent word, let alone a sentence, so he either is gonna have to wait until Floyd stops on his own, or he's gonna have to throw in the towel and tap out, which he does not wanna do
This was one of the ideas I wrote down in my last post and I thought it was so cute I'm turning it into a fic
Muppets Mayhem tk fic
Lee! Floyd, Ler! Janice
PolyMayhem, but Janice and Floyd are the only ones really mentioned in this fic. Just know it's there :]
Summary: Just a cute domestic tk scene between lovers
After a show and a particularly long party, the Electric Mayhem liked to come back home and wind down.
Lips would usually find a book to read somewhere quiet, Zoot would retire to his room for the night, Teeth would occupy himself with either cooking dinner or the keyboard in the basement, and Animal would go outside to tend to his bunnies that he had been able to keep.
Inside, the sunset shown through thin red curtains, painting the room in a lovely, calming pink hue. Janice laid on the couch with Floyd on top of her, resting his head on her chest. He'd long since shrugged off his jacket, hung his hat up, and was in the process of kicking off his boots, finally settling down and stilling after they clunked to the wooden floor.
"Good show today, mama." He murmured, his voice slightly muffled as he didn't bother to raise his head to speak to her.
Janice gently worked the elastic out of his hair to free it from its ponytail, "You were good, too. I mean, like, we were all good, but you just sang with your whole soul today, and it was totally beautiful. You had this aura about you.." She glanced around the room, painted in rose light from the sunset, "It actually kind of looked like this."
That made him smile. He loved how she saw the world and how she saw into people's souls. Literally. When they first met her, they thought she was either making it up or that she was crazy, but they quickly learned that not to be true, after she had very accurately judged multiple people's character just based off their auras.
Their first manager? She instantly knew he was a snake, and they hadn't listened to her. Sure enough, he had made off with all their money and not booked them a single gig. When they met Lips? She was very insistent they keep him around because he had a beautiful soul that matched the sound of his trumpet playing.
"Mmm.. And what's a pink aura mean, sunshine?" He asked, almost sleepily. The comfort of being with her and the perfectly gentle breeze in the room was making him drift off a little.
She combed her fingers through his hair sweetly. "It can, like, mean a lot of things. It really depends on the shades and how they interact with each other." She gently pushed his hair back so she could looked into his eyes and study it a little more. "The shades of your aura tell me that you're very loving, for sure. For me, for the band, for strangers, everyone. And, like, there's this rose pink that's full of joy for what you do, music wise. Oh and there's my favorite one! Soft pink."
Completely smitten by his girlfriend gushing over him, Floyd failed to hear the slight playfulness in her tone. "And what's soft pink mean?"
"It's your love for this~!" She chirped. In an instant, her fingers left his hair and skittered down his back. Floyd hunched his shoulders and wheezed. Instead of pushing her away, though, his arms locked around her waist and he buried his face into her chest as he chuckled.
She was right. He did love this, even if he hadn't explicitly told anyone. He loved it when Janice tickled him during sweeter moments like this, and he loved it when the other guys used it as a form of play.
It was a language all on its own. It was love, it was comfort, it was trust, it was a closeness that only they had. He knew it, she knew it, they all did.
Playful fingers parted from his back and scribbled along his sides, edging his shirt upward a little more, causing the bass player to start giggling a little harder. "J-Jahahanice, plehehease.."
"Please what? Because I know you don't want me to stop. That soft pink color, is like, blossoming." she hummed, dragging her fingers up and away from his sides to lightly trace and play around his neck and jaw.
Floyd's cheeks went pink as his giggles picked up, shoulders scrunching up. He had to force them back down and make himself relax into it. This was a touch he wanted to enjoy without pushing it away.
Every stroke, trace, and skitter was a message, spoken to him over and over again.
I love you, I love you, I love you.
He could only reply in blushing and soft, flustered laughter. Fortunately for him, that's the only response Janice wanted to hear.
Once more, she dragged her fingers down his back, making him arch, softly skittered them back up his sides, but this time she burrowed them under his arms.
Floyd wheezed and cackled. His grip on her tightened and his feet softly kicked at the arm of the couch as he tried to control his movements as to not jostle his girlfriend too much.
"Nahahaha! JAHA- Jahahanice! Mehean! C'mohohon! HHHHH- Hahahaha! AHAHA WHO-" He kicked his leg out a little harsher when he suddenly felt someone skitter along his foot, startling him.
He felt Janice cease her attack and giggle as he turned his head to see Teeth grinning down at him. "Sorry," he wasn't, "I couldn't pass up the opportunity. You two are so cute~" He grinned and ducked, dodging a pillow that Floyd had launched at his head.
Teeth walked around the couch, placing a gentle, soothing hand on Floyd's back as he leaned in and kissed Janice on the forehead. "Dinner's ready. Just came in here to tell y'all."
As the pianist left, Janice rubbed Floyd's back and kissed his forehead. "I think we should get up." she said softly. Floyd hummed in mock grumpiness, reluctantly getting off of her.
They headed toward the kitchen together, following the scent of something savory, accompanied by what was likely a vegan option made for Janice. Floyd reached out and quickly pinched her waist, wiggling a thumb into her hip, grinning as she gasped and smacked his hand away.
Joining the rest of their chaotic family in the kitchen, Floyd looked around at them and felt something comforting settle down into his chest and swell. This life was good.
