Hi :) First of all I really like your blog. Not only your tags but also the gifs themselves. I wanted to ask why you put under some gifs the subtitle of dlc that shall not be named? I'm not that far into the game so I don't know all the dlcs, but I don't mind spoilers. Could you explain to me which dlc you dislike and for what reasons? Just so that I'm prepared when I'm playing that. Thanks in advance. And thanks for your awesome blog!

Hi there! Thank you, thank you, that’s very kind of you to say. ☺️

The reason I title those gifs ‘the dlc that shall not be named’ is due to personal reasons relating to the fact that I really disliked, as did a lot of people, the first DLC ‘The Legacy of the First Blade’. This was mainly due to absolutely awful writing, none of which seemed to tie-in with any of your love-interest decisions from the main game (unless you played Kassandra straight, which is your choice, but my Kass was an equal opportunities lover; any port in a storm and all that!).

The plot in the first DLC works from Alexios’s point of view, NOT Kassandra’s. She’s basically forced into a relationship that makes NO SENSE, it seems it’s there just to shoe-horn in a plot device for the whole AC series, which has already been explained away by other fans (something to do with the Animus(??)), who are more comprehensive in their explanations than I!

Forever angry about it! It’s such a disservice to her character, and the development she had during the series. Honestly it felt like a big FU to the fans and to the work that Cote de Pablo did, I doubt she would have been killed off had she been willing/able to return for episodes.
