Gond cannonically makes guns already, its just a thing. The avatar books a century before describe guns in faerun like they are just a silly Gondian idea that the gondo inventorinos insist is gonna catch on for real any day now.
Therefore GORT DESERVES A GUN
He already uses ranged attacks, I.e his crossbow.
