Happy Mother's Day to my ever patient and loving Mom. This is a picture is from my Baby Book of my third birthday. #deanwinchester wasn't the only one who had dreams of being a cowboy. My mother made the cake and decorated it in the #wiltoncakes style. This would have been 2 Oct 1975. We lived in Paris, Tennessee. The guests mentioned are my grandmother and my aunt. Both on my Dad's side. He was a Detective/Police Officer for the local department. Our family home/farm was only 15/20 min away. . . My mother was the first of her family to go to college. She was from Louisville, KY. She was a founding member of #alphadeltapi on the #murraystate campus in Murray, KY. She was an #armywife and #lawenforcement wife. It wasn't easy for her to raise two girls mostly alone during the early years. But she always advocated for me as best she could. She is the reason I was reading fluently before I was 4 yrs old and my life-long love of books and earned my second middle name, Michelle Leigh "Why" Jimerson. . . As a parent myself, she has always helped me with me kids, longed to understand the differences in how my kids' brains are wired differently, and and been my advocate throught my post traumatic brain injury from concussions plus my chronic migraines and everything else. I don't know where I'd be without you Mom. Thank you for all the lessons you've taught me and your willingness to talk about anything at midnight. I hold those conversations in my heart. . . #lifeonosage #family #mothersday2021 #familymemories #gratefulthankfulblessed (at Independence, Missouri) https://www.instagram.com/p/COrSAHmnkJ7/?igshid=14be18lehzq49
