I was looking for a new IFAK and picked up this Grey Ghost Gear (GGG) Slim Medical Pouch based on a recommendation from some trusted friends.
I own other GGG products and have always been happy with the quality. This pouch didn’t disappoint. The zippers run smoothly, and you can open the pouch using the zipper pulls or just pulling the tab on top. There is MOLLE webbing on each side for accessories and elastic school cord for securing small items. You could carry up to 3 tourniquets on the outside, if you choose. No decent med pouch/IFAK would be complete without a velcro field, and there is a generously sized one right on the front.
Inside, there are several elastic loops to help secure the contents. It is large enough to hold a pre-made, sealed kit, or you can build your own. Just decide what you are going to use it for, general med kit or IFAK, and pack accordingly.
It carries best on a vest, but wasn’t too unwieldy on a belt. I had it with me during some recent training and didn’t have to use it. Hopefully, I will wear out the nylon and change out the contents a dozen times and still never use it. That would be a win in my book.
