Back in the 80's Dickie Mondino formed a band in the comfort of his own bedroom, called M.S. (Mood Swingz) with two other confused 80's teenagers. The band rocketed to inter-regional fame, in and around the West Midlands, causing a fan frenzy at their first professional gig at the Run Runner club in Birmingham.
Their first album 'Anxiety' went straight to number 1 in the West Midlands Independent Local Radio Chart, selling 323 copies in it's first week of sales. Peaking at 329 copies in it's biggest selling week (the following week.)
Due to indifferences, the band split at the height of their career whilst on a sell out tour of the Dudley working mens clubs.
Recently, Dickie Mondino was approached to reform Mood Swingz for a reunion tour, rumour has it he was offered a whopping 83 Euros, per gig.
Around the same time, Mondino was shopping at 'Vinyl Vaults' in Coventry. Across the piles of discounted vinyl, Mondino saw a youngster purchasing a rare picture disc copy of Mood Swingz 'Anxiety' album. On introduction the local youngster known as 'Feathers Scavullo' soon realised that the man questioning him about his purchase was none other than the lead singer of his favourite band, Mood Swingz.
Their taste in music wasn't the only thing in common between the two of them, they were not only both wearing tight silver trousers, but they both had brown eyes. This was too much of a coincidence, and on further exploration they discovered they were in fact each others favourite aunty's, youngest cousins, 7 times removed half brother.
Hence the brown eye resemblance.
Following a few drunken chats at the Kebab & Calculator pub, Mondino & Scavullo planned strategically what they both knew had to be done……
Dickie rejected the offer he'd received from "Tragic Tours" to do a reunion tour for a whopping 83 Euros per gig, and Feathers left his job as a transvestite librarian.
So……ladies and gentlemen……we introduce to you….the biggest thing to come out of Britain since Black Lace…..
MUSCLE CHECK.
