None of this is coming easy for him. At this rate, he may as well come full circle and expect this to be the new norm. Seemed everyone wanted to question every move and decision he had ever made down his path in life. And now here was Aizawa, in an already accusatory and chiding tone in Enji's perspective, anyway. The man behind the current number one pro hero title lacked the emotional maturaity and self-awareness to hear it in some other capacity for the time being. He shifts his neck to the side and sighs, his eyes slowly closing for a moment before he opens them again, ready with a response.

Looking up from his place at the dinner table, he's taken off-guard, he wonders if this is to be the new norm for their family and his home life. There was a time he would have given into his anger and lashed out with some tough disciplinary action. But that was then and this—this was now.

Another estranged child, seated at his dinner table within his household. Sure, his inner monologue deemed it so but so often he felt alienated by the members of his own progeny. As he'd learned as of late was all due to his past failures as a parental guardian and father figure. A heavy sigh emitted, his eyes scanned around from his two sons and his other daughter.

It was his job to present a threatening demeanor outwardly towards any foes. It was his job to have the presence as an opposing figure to any vigilante criminals. It was a flaw to keep it turned up and apply it at home. And he was left to repeat old habits.

Recently, his family, most of them begrudgingly, were trying to help him learn to do better.

"I suppose——" his eye instantly caught glances from everyone as his voice alone raised the tension in the small space "I—should ask why."
