a storyline where Lex just gets to kick the snot out of someone , and expel all nineteen years of pent up rage he has bottled up.

Yep. I can 10000% see it.

Thinking heavily about someone assuming Quincey's surname is Hellsing , and him just not correcting them when they say it. Only for Lucia , Integra , or Mina later on to just be like " ??? His surname is Harker ??? ".

Also laughing at the idea of Hellsing being tacked onto his name , and someone having to yell his long ass name across a space. Once again Lucia , Integra , or Mina trying to get his attention or scold him , and having to yell Quincey Abraham Harker-Hellsing across a space.

This is the first time I have attempted anything close to a character sheet , and it is absolutely going to need tweaking. However ,,, I am proud of what I have come up with so far! 

There is ,, next to no information on him on this , but I just wanted to get the basic visuals down.

Yet another muse rant ,,, this time it’s Quincey’s turn !

When it comes to Quincey I have been thinking a whole lot about how he ages , and what age that would put him at when Lucia and Lex are older. As what kind of person he would be once he hit that age / where he would be mentally.

For starters he ages ssuuppeer slow , and occasionally in bizarre seeming growth spurts. So where he is physically 15 when Lucia and Lex are 19 - 20 years old. I feel like by the time they were reaching , or were part way into their 30s ( since ,, I am 99% sure Lucia doesn’t age normally , and neither does Lex ) he would just be hitting that 19 - 20 age range.

As for who he would be once he hit that age ,, that is a little more complicated. He wouldn’t have moved away from his juvenile mindset so to speak. I would have simply evolved. The vampire less of a wide eyes child , and more into a carefree kind of rebellious teenage. K i n d o f how the abridged portrays Alucard. Very very loosely. Mainly in the sarcastic , reckless , doesn’t take a whole lot super serious , overall pain in the ass and very aware of it , sort of way. Like an obnoxious teenage brother who doesn’t take shit your parents say seriously , and walks right into fights and trouble with a shrug.

( I don’t know if that makes any sense , I hope that it does. )

I also have put a lot of thought into what his position within Hellsing would be once he is older. Obviously his powers and abilities , which I am gonna touch on some in this rant I think , would be put to some kind of use. The young man at that point quickly moving up the Hellsing “ Do not fuck with this with indivual , because if you do it’s really unlikely you are going are to walk away “ list. So I feel like he would have a job similar to Alucard , being given assignments that other organization members aren’t exactly equipped or qualified to do. Otherwise being at the manor itself to a . ) kept an eye on by Lucia and Lex and b . ) act as a line of defense for if the shit hit the fan for some reason.

I also feel like when he starts going on missions ( which he does do at 15 , they’re just much much smaller scale , and are much less life threatening ,, he is almost like an errand boy at first ) they aren’t solo. At least one other person sent along with him. Half out of worry for the young man , and half because he has proved that he has next to no control over some of his vampiric abilities. Once he is older , and has a better grip , he is allowed to go out to do tasks on his own. Harker much less likely at that point to lose control during a mission , and cause unneeded deaths and damage.

Which ,,, haha gives me a chance to cha cha slide into his abilities. 

As a youngin he has next to no control over them. His power set at it’s surface looking similiar to Alucard’s , but having much different focuses. For example , one of the things that Quincey is able to do that , and do well once he is older , that Alucard may not focus on as much is in the form of a type of umbrakinesis. Harker able to generate and manipulate shadows , using them almost like familiars to either aid in fights , or run around like eyes and ears for him all over. This ability in particular one of the first ones that he discovers he is able to use on his own.

Though ,, the familiars that split off of him and his shadow aren’t very scary at first. At first they just look like little squiggle monsters , about the height of a small toddler , with bright red eyes like Quinceys. They also mimic Quincey’s mindset in a way. The little squiggle monsters incredibly tricky , seeking out trouble , and almost childlike. However once he develops this power more , and once he matures more , the things he is able to conjure from the shadows changes as well. His shadowy familiars going from the size of toddlers to the size of a grown man. Also no longer looking like they are made of crayon scribbles. Instead now being solid beings with the same red eyes. Their edges jagged and their forms having developed mouths. And teeth. Some running on two feet. Others running on all four like dogs. 

This got ,,, way too long if you read all of this I am so sorry. It is nice to just barf this all out.

This is just a super long rant about Lex’s story , and an element I haven’t got to talk a lot about. Yet I absolutely plan to add and add onto to , but my brain is really going bbbrrr about it. 

Feel free to ignore this. 

A warning also : Lex didn’t have the warmest childhood , and in my ramble I am going to be going over one of the especially cold parts towards the very end. 

Okay s o , 

I’ve now kinda started to explain Lex’s future departure from the Vatican , and how he winds up in the position with Hellsing. I put it out there that yeah he doesn’t end up head of the Iscariot Organization. In fact he leaves all together , and is told in short that if he leaves he isn’t to come back. Which ,, for obvious reasons really tears him up for a long time.

However there is an element / elements that I want to talk about that wouldn’t come into play until way later down the road. Like ,, once he is already a recgonized memeber of Hellsing , and has spent a considerable amount of time working as one of Lucia’s right hand men. Probably when his father is older , and he is starting into his early thirties m a y b e later twenties.

The elements are forgiveness for the sake of one’s self , and recognition of one’s own healing from the past. 

Lex leaving the Vatican is absolutely not the last time he would have to face his father. That just wouldn’t make sense. There would be more than a handful of times over the years that the two would have to come face to face. Probably sitting down somewhere at the same meeting table. Which wouldn’t be easy for either one of them in the start for their own reasons. Yet it would be something that both would have to learn to handle in their own ways. That they would both would have to look at , analyze how it made them feel , and then decide from there if whatever negative feelings that they had ( spefically abandonement on Lex’s part , and betrayal on Enrico’s part ) were worth it in the end. Their relationship isn’t exactly repairable at that point. However there would have to be a moment where they’d have to ask themselves “ is holding onto this feeling , and allowing it to affect the life that I have separate from him , really worth the hurt? “.

By that point as well I feel like Lex would have been able to better process the things that went on in his youth , and slowly come to terms with them as he worked to forgive his father. Then verbalizing the forgiveness to him , not worried about if it would be returned ( assuming it won’t be ) , in order to prove to himself that he truly has healed more than anything else.
