A few Kate and Gabriel headcanons because I love them and they deserved to spend more bonding time together:
90% of the time when they’re on a family trip with Kate’s siblings and their friends, Gabriel drives and Kate sits shotgun to help with navigation and they take turns side-eyeing the kids over one shoulder when they get too rowdy.
Since they both have long hair they’re always loaning one another hair-ties.
When Gabriel realizes just how bad Kate’s insomnia is, he goes and gets her one of Granny Peet’s potions that will help her sleep.
They go on relaxing nature hikes together when they need a break from the endless chaos of their family.
They also have tea together at least once a week and talk. Common discussion topics include the latest shenanigans of the chaos children and also griping about the magical world’s incompetent leaders.
They judge the council of Loris so hard together. Kate “literally yelled at these grown ass adults the first time they all gathered” Wibberly and Gabriel “canonically will ignore the people in charge if they’re making stupid choices” are so done with the nonsensical arguing of the magical world’s leaders and they bond over it.
Gabriel teaches Kate (and all his kids tbh) the different recipes he’s learned through the years. A lot of them were passed down to him by Granny Peet fwiw.
