Cole let Aria stay at his place while she wasn’t feeling well, somehow she was sick and lost her voice in the process and he’s been trying to help take care of her, but sometimes he’d mess up with cooking something she wanted, messing up on little things like that. Though Cole was really trying his hardest to make sure Aria was taken care of, he really cared about and loved her.

Colby was born to a rare family. A species that everyone thought was just a myth. Mermaids. His mother was a mermaid and his father, a merman. Once he was born however, he was given to a normal human family. They were close to the mermaids and had worked to keep them hidden. His mother wanted him to have a normal life though, one that he would be safe and not have to run all the time. The human family, known as the East’s, took him in and gave him their last name, since mermaids had none, and raised him as their own.

As he grew up, he knew nothing of his mermaid background or the fact that the East’s weren’t his parents. He just always had an obsession with water. His mother wouldn’t let him in the water however, as a promise made to his birth mother. When he would enter water, his tail would grow and he would find out everything and become in danger like all mermaids. Mrs. East was sworn to protect him though. And as much as Cole wanted to explore the seas, he did as his mother was told and never ventured into the water.
