There was blood on his lips, bruises lining his temple and eye as he stood outside her door. He was exhausted, but even more than that he was emotionally hurt. Though really he’s not sure if it was because he felt abandoned by her walking away from him in turn for what his brother had done to her, or if it was because his brother had the audacity to hit him just because Yohan was sticking up for his best friend. Best friend? Was that even what she was to him anymore? “Sorry.” He mutters, wiping at the angry tears from his eyes. “I just needed to talk to you.”

Hyun Woo’s fists are still balled as he’s pulled by several people away, the other still on the floor clutching his bleeding nose. He doesn’t know why he did it, but when he saw someone hitting on her, he just couldn’t stop himself from seeing red in jealousy. It was true, the words he said earlier that still resonated in his own ears, Get away from her, you asslhole, he said, and when the other retaliated with the question of whether they were still together, he couldn’t help but admit what he did, No, but she’s the best thing that’s happened to me, so stay the fuck away. The next thing he knew, punches were thrown, and now he can’t even look her in the eye. “Sorry.”

He dreaded going home after work each day, but if he really thinks about it, it wasn’t actually dread that he felt, but more anxiety, sadness, that feeling of longing he can’t act on even when she was right there. Maybe that was it, exactly. And yet he arrives home, leaving his shoes by the door and walking inside, dropping his bag near the bed when he enters his room, but if he listens hard enough he can hear the shower running, along with... Sobs? He stays quiet, but he goes to the kitchen to see if she’s eaten anything before he starts pulling things out of the fridge and the cabinets, deciding to prepare dinner for the both of them.
