“You wouldn’t happen to know where I can find a weapon shop, would you...?” Hak doesn’t know why he always flocks directly to any given town’s weapon shop; he always ends up using his trusty glaive anyway. ( And he’s feeling distinctly naked without it, having left it with the group so he could slink into town without drawing too much attention. ) It’s just what Hak does: seek the largest collection of sharp, pointy objects and ultimately decide he doesn’t need any of them. His current occupation as a ( dashing ) fugitive doesn’t precisely offer the monetary gain necessary for lining his pockets with weaponry anyway. He doesn’t have time to spend all day hunting through an unfamiliar town, hence the abrupt decision to bother strangers for information. He chose this particular stranger with what Hak likes to call his warrior senses: the vague certainty that this person might know their weapons. “I’m new around here.”
