who: Connie and Lonnie ( @of-beasts-and-blood )
After everything had happened, before the dust had even gotten a chance to settle, Connie found herself on her brother’s doorstep.
She hadn’t been involved in the battle - hadn’t been in town - but she’d seen enough of the aftermath. People she knew who’d lost loved ones, who’d been badly injured, who were going through so much pain and grief.
Connie was once again confronted by the fact that she was living in the midst of a war - one that she had yet to take a side in.
She hadn’t known where to go. And so she went to the only person who was a constant in her life, whether he liked it or not.
“Lonnie!” She banged her fist against the front door, the third time in as many minutes, “I swear to god - for once in your life, just let me in!”
Once again, she was met with no reply. She took a step back and made a frustrated sound in the back of her throat.
“I won’t hesitate to blast this door to smithereens.”
