Elijah pulled together the lapels of the jacket Matty was supposed to be getting fitted then stepped back to take a look. "Hm... would you consider shaving your caterpillar off for the wedding? for Beverly of course." He made a point of using her name to get Matty to say yes if he thought it was coming from her and not his brother.

Elijah smiled down at Bev as they took a walk through the gardens, swinging her hand lightly as they went and took in the sights. "Not much longer now until we get married here." He gave her hand a light squeeze, there were nervous butterflies in his stomach but this had been a long time coming. "Are there any last minute details to iron out?"

Elijah circled the gambling tables, keeping an eye out for any unsavoury behaviour. He had agreed to work some of this party just to provide a little bit of protection to those who needed it or needed to be kept an eye on.

"Hitting up a table?" He tried to make small talk with Whitney when he came across her milling around.

"Hey Rookie." Elijah sat himself at the table with his lunch, giving her a smile then opened his box up, looking to see what Beverly had packed for him. "How you doing? Learning to fit in yet?"

"Hey grumpy pants." Elijah threw himself into a seat which he had dragged over to sit next to James and gave him a smile. "What are you up to tonight? I figured we could get out of here and go for a drink, non alcoholic for you of course. I'll tell you all about my new rookie."

"I'm just waiting for Beverly to push through things with Edgar before we do any wedding planning, I'm leaving it up to her to give us the go ahead." Elijah sipped his coffee and slumped back in his seat, his mind just full of questions about who had sealed the portals.

"You would not believe the shit I had to go through today." Elijah called out as he walked through the condo, taking off his tie then shoes and then jacket, putting them all in the spaces they should be as he looked for his wife. "There's a case ongoing that's been annoying m-" then he paused, spotting Giselle sitting in the kitchen with a glass of wine so he glanced around for a second searching for Beverly before looking back at Giselle.

"Hm, you're here earlier than usual."
