Gift to @muse-teme :D Happy holidays!
@muse-teme answered your question “SAI issues???”
I've had that happen to me before. Sai doesn't crash often but when it does it tends to be imploding heck.
yeah... usually I have the issue of it becoming unresponsive while saving, but eventually getting it together and saving the thing. or downright crashing if I click anything during the save tantrum. I’ve never had a file delete itself while it’s open. gdi SAI! why so finicky?
Secret Santa for muse-teme! Under the cut for length :D I hope you like it, and I hope you have a wonderful Christmas! <3
"What is this ‘Christmas’ you guys keep talking about?" Ikuto asked one day when Yoshino and Tohma were arguing over whether or not it was too early to put up Christmas decorations. Both DATS agents responded with a look of surprise.
"You don’t know what Christmas is?" Yoshino was the first to speak up.
"No." Ikuto replied, crossing his arms and pouting. "You’ve been talking about it all week. We never had it in the Digital World!" Yoshi glanced back at Tohma, silently pleading for help.
"Er, well…" Tohma cleared his throat, trying to decide the best way to explain. "Christmas is a holiday where you give presents to the people you care about."
"What kinda presents?"
"Whatever you think will make them happy, I suppose."
Ikuto clearly wasn’t thrilled with Tohma’s explanation, but he decided to let it go. “Fine. Come on Falcomon, let’s get presents for everyone!”
A few days later Ikuto had managed to find presents for almost everyone. A pretty necklace for Yoshino, a book for Tohma, and a scarf for Falcomon. The only person left was Masaru. But what kind of present would make Masaru happy? He liked fighting, what else did he like?
Another week went by and Ikuto still couldn’t think of a good present for Masaru. It had to be special - Masaru was important to him after all. He couldn’t just ask the older male himself, that would be like admitting defeat, and Ikuto was far too stubborn for that. So he decided to ask Chika for help instead.
"Masaru doesn’t deserve presents." Chika stated when Ikuto asked her what to get him. "But if you really wanna get him something…it doesn’t really matter what it is. He likes you, so he’ll be happy with whatever you give him!"
That wasn’t the answer he had been looking for.
"I wanna give him something special though!"
"Then why not make something?"
Make something? Ikuto hadn’t thought of that. If he made the present himself it would have to be something Masaru couldn’t get anywhere else…and he knew just what to make.
After thanking Chika, Ikuto rushed home to work on the gift. Falcomon had offered to help, but Ikuto refused. He had to do this himself, he had to make it special.
Finally Christmas Eve came and everyone gathered at the DATS Headquarters to trade presents. Ikuto waited until Masaru was finally left alone before he ran towards him, holding out a messily wrapped present.
"Merry Christmas, Masarumon! I made you a present…"
Masaru grinned and took the gift from his friend, excitedly tearing at the colorful wrapping paper while Ikuto averted his gaze, clearly embarrassed.
Masaru’s eyes lit up when he opened the present. It was a small, kind of clumsily made, Agumon plush doll.
"You made this!?"
"Yeah, I know it’s not very goo-" Ikuto was cut off when Masaru suddenly pulled him into a hug. Blinking in surprise, the younger male only hesitated for a second before returning the hug.
"Dude this is awesome! It looks just like Agumon!"
Ikuto smiled as he pulled away. “Good, I’m glad you like it.”
"Like it? Nah, I love it! And I love you, too. Thank you, Ikuto. Merry Christmas."
"Merry Christmas, Masarumon."
burbsbear replied to your post:I just realized which celebrity my gorgeous friend...
but her nose is TOTALLY off from sages XD the cheeks are dead on tho
Oh definitely. It's mostly the cheeks, eyes and mouth where I see the resemblance.
But it's only from certain angles.
I'd like to thank you for being such a wonderful artist. I've been a lurking fan of your art for just about ten years, at first I found this lovely website where you had adorable Digi fanart that always looked so happy and sweet. Then I ended up finding you on dA later and you inspired many of my first yuri ships as well as inspired me to watch a lot of shows I really love now. Your art has always been so lively and energetic, it always makes me happy to see. Thank you for drawing<3<3<3.
So because I wanna bother you with nonsense, write me up something comparing one character from Digimon and one character from Star Wars 0v0
Hmm...
Although their backstories and intrinsic motivations are very different, I see a lot of similarities characterization-wise between Leia and Ruki. In that both of them start of being very single-minded, standoffish and kind rude. Both have trouble expressing vulnerability at first, but learn to rely on others more as their characters develop.
And actually, now that I think about it, Luke and Takato are pretty similar too. They're both adventurous and inquisitive without being brash or mean. The big difference is that Luke has a tendency towards cockiness that I think Takato mostly lacks, and Takato is a little less...well, whiny.
>3 Kenkeru (or Kaikeru, either works really)
• when or if I started shipping it. I started shipping it this year. • my thoughts:It's way interesting. Takeru is the character who would notice the little things Ken does or when he has something on his mind. And Ken would know how to push Takeru's buttons. • What makes me happy about them:Everything. • What makes me sad about them: They're not canon. • things done in art/fic that annoys me:The fact that people bash them because they aren't paired with Hikari or Miyako. • things I look for in art/fic: A good dynamics and not PWP. • Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I would be comfortable with Takeru ending up with anyone other than Hikari (mostly Ruki) and Ken with Miyako. • My happily ever after for them: Ken and Takeru buying a home or getting an apartment together. • what is their favorite non-sexual activity?Ken reading and editing Takeru's writings for his novels.
Anniversary
Yay! I'm finally finished. It took me too damn long to complete this fic.
Title: Anniversary
Idea from : How to Crack a Kaiser Takeru
Summary: The anniversary of Yamato's Death
NOTE: If you by chance read this, Takeru's monologue should be read with Sis Puella Magi on. It's was my inspirational music to that scene and totally created the whole plot for that part.
Takeru was beyond angry.
Quaking with rage, he slammed a gloved fist into the keyboard of his control panel. He couldn’t deal with them anymore.
At first he’d let the Chosen Children be, because of their ignorance to what the Digital World really was. Yet, today he drew the line.
How dare that Motomiya boy take something so sacred to him and then USE IT against him today out of all days?
It was the lowest blow that he would ever take. He would pity them no more.
***
Takeru was not expecting Motomiya Daisuke to sit in his living room drinking tea with his mother, despite the fact that his mother was never home.
No, he was expecting to come back from the Digital World with his mother back at work and a note with money telling him to order takeout.
Not the freaking brat that stole the Digimental of Friendship from him!
But of course, things would not go that way for him, so Takeru put on a curious face to why Motomiya was invading his home.
Natsuko turned her head towards her son, eyes shinning that her son had finally made a friend.
“Takeru, this boy says that he’s your partner for a science project. Motomiya Daisuke, right?”
Daisuke turned to Natsuko, rubbing the back in a sheepish manner. “Yes, ma’am. I’m Motomiya Daisuke. I thought I would surprised Takeru with a meeting, so we could get a head start on our project.”
Takeru left eye twitched a little. A science project? Really Motomiya, really? They were in the middle of studying for summer exams.
He sighed, knowing that there was no way to get out of this. Eyes shifted to Daisuke who suddenly found his cup of tea a lot more interesting. “Yeah, we’re working on dichotomy of feline family.
Daisuke coughed into his cup, totally not expecting Takeru to go with the lie.
“But….” Takeru hair shielded his eyes. “But first, I have to visit Big Brother. Today is his anniversary.”
The bright gleam in Natsuko face darkened considerably. Of course she didn’t want to deal with this. She loved to act like Yamato never existed.
“Fine. Do what you like. However, you should take your friend with you. I hate for you to be alone on a day like this… if Motomiya would like to go with you,” she murmured, sipping her cup of tea.
Daisuke blinked, looking back at Natsuko. He really didn’t understand what was going on, but if it meant learning something about the Digimon Kaiser, then he would go with him.
Showing a brave face, Daisuke jumped up and stated, “Sure, I’ll go with the Kai… Takeru.”
His mother sighed yet again, shooing her son to go.
***
Daisuke was not expecting so many pale roses. Well, he also wasn’t expecting on visiting the grave to the Digimon Kaiser’s brother, but the amount of roses around his grave exceeded his expectations.
And Takeru brought even more.
It was strange seeing Takeru, not as the cruel and cold-hearted Kaiser, but as a cheerful kid like himself.
Squatting down, Takeru began his monologue to his brother.
“Hey Big Bro, it’s me again. It’s been a very long year since I last saw you. Things have been going all right since then. Mom is still the same: working and leaving me take out money. She hasn’t even noticed that I cook most of the nights.”
He shifted his squat more to a ball position.
“She still also forbids me into seeing Dad, but I sneak to his office at the TV station once in a while to see him. He still blames himself for your death and he works himself to death because of it.”
Takeru wrapped his arm around his legs. The happy look became more solemn, as if he was about to be scolded.
“I know Big Brother already knows it, but I finally went on with my plan. After last summer, I couldn’t help it. I was tired of the hold that the Digital World has on our world. There’s no structure and too many people keep getting hurt.”
“I mean, who would ever picture little Takaishi Takeru as the cruel dictator of the Digital World. And I know that if you were still alive you would be so disappointed. Heh.”
Takeru un-balled himself, taking on a more confident look. He puffed his chest out and smoothed out his hair.
“You would probably hit me on the head, and say “What the heck Takeru, you’re too good for that. There’s no need for you to take matters into your own hands……” Hands dropped to the ground and tears welled up in his eyes.
“But, I couldn’t stand to let another person end up like you. To see all that blood. To see the lifeless look on your face. You were right about the Digital World. It was too dangerous and if not dealt with, then more could end up like you.”
Droplets rolled off of Takeru’s face onto the ground. “I just hope that you could forgive me for this.”
For that instance, a light glowed in Takeru’s shirt – the light of his Crest of Hope. It wasn’t as bright as it was when he was younger, but still enough to illuminate the grave of his brother.
And with that light, he felt a pat on his head. One that was all too familiar to him. Takeru’s eyes dilated. He knew it couldn’t be true, and every ounce of his body wanted to tell him so, but his heart knew it.
Yamato was forgiving him.
And like every instance he was gone. A sharp pain shot from the middle of his neck.
This time he couldn’t stop from crying out. The Crest of Hope’s light died fast as the blond haired boy crouched in pain.
Daisuke, broken out of the trance of Takeru’s monologue, ran to the boy’s side, trying to see what was wrong with him.
Only to be slapped away.
Daisuke recoiled from the throbbing pain on his hand, ready to lash out on the other boy until he saw the look into his eyes. They were no longer the sad adoring eyes of the younger brother who idolized his dead older brother.
They were cold, mistrusting and devious.
Still scratching at the middle of his neck, Takeru rose, leaving the roses at Yamato’s grave. He walked to Daisuke, stopping right when he was earshot from him.
“I guess you now have enough information on me to tell all of your Chosen friends. I’m not that stupid to know what games you’re trying to play.”
Daisuke eyes widened. This was a total one eighty from earlier.
Takeru started walking away, only to stop again. “Also, Motomiya, I would refrain from using the Digimental of Friendship around me. I rather not have to deal with blood on my hands because someone used Big Brother Yamato’s things.”
Takeru walked from the graveyard, leaving a nervous Daisuke.
